from what i have heard, the vic metro squad has been finalised. just not announced anywhere publicly yet. i may be wrong, if anyone has the final list on their hands it would be much appreciated.

Carnival starts next weekend IIRC. I think there's a day of trial games where Div 1 sides will play Div 2 sides mid week (like Thursday or something).

WA will have a wicked side by the looks of things.

J.Darling is wicked
D.Swallows younger bro of kangaroo Andrew is a gun
J.Bradshaw Hale produst and a gun
S.Hancock played on him and is maybe one of the best for there age
B.Matera is a jet small forward type
Trinity boys are all wicked Fasalo is awesome but injured i think

most of these boys are PSA players and this will be a hard side to beat

the full WA squad has been released and seeing as i have played with all of these players i will write a little bit about them all from my own personal opinions so you can know more about them.

WA Under-16 Final Squad

David SWALLOW - Captain, arguably the best in the team

Brandon MATERA - Son of wally, kicks goals from anywhere

Scott HANCOCK - Tough defender who rarely doesent get the job done

Jack BRADSHAW - Small midfielder who i beleive will struggle. maybe wayne helped him to the team?

Cody McILVENNY - Dominated one of the trial games and quick

Casey YORK - penetrating left foot when it does well, much better last year?

Adam FAULKNER - cant see him slotting in for alot of game time

Michael EDWARDS - good skills, ultimate seagull doesent go in hard..

Justin PEZZALI - decent player

Reece CONCA - very good player, creates alot of good play and racks up the possesions

Mathew JONES - tall can go forward and kick goals

Jamie CRIPPS - tough player.

Justin MONACO - can be good at times, better talls missed out.

Blayne WILSON - solid backman

Brendon GULLEY -

Kieran BUTCHER - was an animal last year, everyones catching up

Daniel McDONALD - most likely chb. tall great leap

Jack DARLING - big, strong and quick will play well

Jarrad CIESLA - big midfielder, fitness may be a problem

Lloyd SKINNER -

Redmond DOBSON - on his day can control a game from FF great mark and set shot but physical pressure can cause faults

Adam FEENEY - hard player

Dylan MURRAY -always goes in hard for the ball very quick

William WALDON - tall, is ok

Ryan MALDENIS - good player very skilled

Whats your name?

also can you put the players that are PSA and what school they go to.

Kane Gatty did he not make it??

who is number 10 from Christchurch? GUN

Trinity College
  • Dylan Murray
  • Reece Conca
  • Daniel McDonald
  • Redmond Dobson
Aquinas College
  • Scott Hancock
  • Michael Edwards
  • Justin Monaco
Wesley College
  • Casey York
Hale School
  • Jack Bradshaw
Number 10 for CCGS is matt rawlo, i think he is by far the most unlucky to miss out on the final team considering some of the small type midfielders they are taking. Personally i think they would be better taking matt who is a strong quick and much bigger midfielder than say jack bradshaw or adam faulkner.

i agree with you, matt rawlo is extremely unlucky to have missed out on making the final sqaud, i have played with him many times, and his work ethic around the ground is unbelievable and thats what you need in a team at state level, also he will never shy out of a contest and makes 10 tackles per game, can easily be a match winner, would prefer over the likes of bradshaw who is selfish seagull and faulkner.

glad to see someones on the same page as me.
anyone else you think that was unlucky?
maybe that missed out due to injury other than fasolo who is an obvious one?

yes alex fasolo was very unlucky, he is good enough to be all australian after the 15's carnival and could may well of recieved ais scholaship, i cant understand how casey york managed to make the team after not playing in the developement carnival, not as skillfull as he was last year, not to sure about thos who missed out tom taylor from hale was unlucky rated to me as a btter player than bradshaw, what are your views?

i agree on casey york i havent honestly seen him play a good game since 15's. i agree about tom taylor bettering bradshaw as taylor will run all day and go and get his own ball but i still beleive that there are better midfield options who missed out...
scotty chave?
jacob holmes?
thompson from aquinas dont know his first name?
all played state last year and all alot bigger stronger and more explosive than bradshaw, taylor, faulkner and even edwards as midfield options?

yes agreed, they all did play state 15's last year, dont know much about scott chave, but jacob holmes is a taller midfielder with a good mark, and brendan thompson from aquinas is a harder running midfielder, who works harder than bradshaw, also rowan picket from 15;s is a player who will be missed by wa after moving the victoria during the year, would have been good for the team had he played, can be selfish but.

ur right. Bradshaw played about 100 minutes for the whole carnival in a back pocket and half back...i went down to watch a few matches (GC17 U BEAUT) and he got crunched - ambulance etc. Liked what i saw..hard at it inside player who just needs to bulk up.

aha
good too see you hale boys have finally found bigfooty.
doesent matter where he played really..
hes known as a midfielder but i must say it would be hard to get in the wa midfeild with swallow and murray to compete against.
enjoy the forum guys
