Most of the players on that list have had 1 or 2 poor games but are otherwise doing ok. Some of the commentators on the weekend were saying Stafford is in career best form so I don't know what he is doing on the list. Pettifer had been in very good form before putting in a shocker against the Saints, and even then he could have finished with 3 goals except for a couple of mis-kicks. Tivendale's form has been improving after a horror year last year. Newman had been playing well until last week and even the maligned Krakouer had done ok against the Bulldogs and Freo. Last weeks game against the Saints was hardly a goal-sneaks paradise. Simmonds perhaps hasn't lived up to expectations so far but he is fitting into a new team and on top of that the team is fitting into a new game plan. I don't think its a question of anyone underachieving, but perhaps a question of not achieving the desired consistency yet. Even that is an improvement over last year when we were consistent, but that meant being consistently ********house.
