Anyone on this thread spent time in Long Beach, CA?

Thinking of heading there for a music festival in August. Other than catching a couple of MLB games, I'm not too keen on leaving Long Beach. Anticipate I'll be there for seven-to-10 days.

What have you done?

Are you doing the WTC museum??
Weather's been cold lol. 0 - 1 degree. Walked thr Brooklyn Bridge. Went to an NBA game and NHL. Took a ferry out to see the big statue lady, but the lines were huge and it was our last day.
Shopped at the big disney store, got drunk and sang karaoke at an Irish pub. Times square etc.

Hard to cram as much in, only really 2 full days.

That's cool. I would have done 9/11 but that's just me. When I went in 2012 only the outside grounds/gardens were done and not the museum. I'd love to have done the latter but it wasn't meant to be.

Sounds awesome tho.

As for 0-1 degrees. I. Don't. Know. What. That. IS. 😲

The museum is incredible. Went in 2018.

I remember doing the hop on hop off bus to do the museum, statue of liberty, Brooklyn bridge etc and it was about 2 degrees and only had a hoody on on the top open level. The wind chill factor was so bad but waited for everyone else to go downstairs before we did. 🤣

Iirc the museum opened the following year. I was gutted, I'd love to visit.

The footprints of the buildings gave me chills. Just so awful, the entire situation.

I remember lying on the grass under a tree and just staring up where they would have stood. 😭

You're nuts.

I've only been to NYC twice (03, 12) both in August

Have only even been in the States June-September
