Start of 2nd 1/4 and we are four goals up - with Clark and Burton being reported as having leg injuries - but Bird is still on the field.

Freo look sluggish and we need to keep cashing in on this - but Roo has missed a few shots which would have us further ahead - lucky free to get his one goal.

John******** has started well at the back - looks like they are targetting Goodwin - and of course Tyson is out which is not hurting us - yet!

John who? :D

Problem with GJ :) is that Farmer has two goals and looks like the only really dangerous forward at this stage.

McGregor has found his game boots and so far kept Pav scoreless and he hasnt had an effect on the game. Ricciuto has missed a few. McLeod gave me a little scare there, I thought he grabbed his knee  turned out he was just winded  Good job so far by the Crows.

Brent Reilly, Scott Thompson, Matthew Clarke, Matthew Bode, Kris Massie, Brett Burton, Ken McGregor, Graham Johncock and Ben Rutten have been sensational in the first half.

Roo has also been good other than the missed shots.

Look there is probably no bigger fan of Josh Carr than yours truly but son, punching someone in the naries behind play when they are not watching is a pretty cheap shot :thumbsd:

So far so good. Lets keep it up and for goodness sake kick the easy goals. Don't make it harder for yourself than you have to.

Ken and Thommo are both playing very well, which is very encouraging. Biglands is going alright as well.

Very surprised at Roo's kicking. Hopefully it'll improve. We're getting plenty of chances, just not using them as effectively as we should. Hopefully it won't come back and burn us.

I will be interested to see how fitness plays out in the game, as it has been a fast paced game so far. Hopefully we will be up to the task.

It must be making it hard for craig with the leg injury to Burton

We are only 2 up and we look a bit tardier than the 1st 1/2 - Roo is kicking poorly for goal and Riley's miss was disappointing. Interesting to see Roo get beaten by Grover a few times.

We do need to convert better to be a chance in the end.

There is a worrying trend in the crows games this season. We are starting the first halves extremely well but we are struggling to close off the game and letting the opposition fight back far too frequently ... almost mimicking the days of the ayres era. I really think we need ricciuto back playing in the midfield where he will have a far greater impact but now with injuries to perrie we may not have the option but to stick with him in the forwards. No doubt he is great at playing the position but we are starting to lose our influences in the clearances and stoppages ... one of the strongest points we had from last season. We certainly are getting our fair share of injuries this year and hopefully we have enough depth to compensate for the loss of experience. Credit must be given to fremantle of a great fight back but we are developing way too many loopholes in our game and they are being exploited by opposition teams. We really need to improve on this in our next few games or we will not be contenders come september.

Running out games was always going to be a problem with the miles we have covered lately. First moth of the season has been extremely tough. 4 games in 4 states including a trip to gold coast followed by a trip to perth.

I have said that first 5 games will be very tough and if we can come away with 3-2 record from first 5 games we would have done a great job.
