5. Watson. Was clean when everyone else fumbled
4. Zaharakis. Was mostly clean, and kept running hard all night
3. Carlisle. Pantsed Mitch Clark, who was one of their few in form players
2. Fletch. Took care of business. As usuall
1. Stanton. Struggling here.

Dempsey. Bad outweighed the good. Yes, he had a couple of horrible fumbles, esp in the last. But did some good stuff as well. Certainly wasn't the only one to fumble

Melksham was horrible. I've been thinking he's been drinking his own bath water for a while now, and last night proved it. A couple of the only good things he did all night came in spite of a fumble. The fumbles actually have him space.

Hurley was good, but he shanked those shots and looked too indecisive every time he got the ball. Should have had 4-5 goals and could have been BOG in a low scoring game

Someone had Lonergan in the votes????

5. Watson
4. Carlisle
3. Zaharakis
2. Fletcher
1. Maybe Hocking

Honourable mention to the seat in front of me for staying intact after a damn good thrashing.

5- Watson
4- Carlisle
3- Fletcher
2-
1- Hurley

Hurls gets a vote for his attack on the ball and his effort but gee picking someone to give the 2 too is blooody hard....

5. Watson
4. Carlisle
3. Fletcher
2. Zaharakis
1. Hurley

I don't know why I sat out in the rain to watch that. Back to earth with a massive thud.

I don't know why I sat out in the rain to watch that.

I did too. My philosophy is, if you're going to lose to Melbourne, make it as miserable an experience as is humanly possible.

how can people say no one deserves a vote? watson played a great game.

A team that has an 8-1 record and wants to be seen as a serious premiership contender should not lose to a team that hasn't looked like winning all season.

The message we sent the competition last night was when it is wet we are unable to adjust and if we can't manage that then it raises the question about how do we handle pressure and last night the answer is not very well.

I do add that Melbourne have been slowly improving and full credit to them for they have had a shocker of a year and loved the passion they showed when singing the club song.

5. Watson. Worked tirelessly, used the ball comparatively well.
4. Carlisle. As mentioned, pantsed Mitch Clark, and ball use was decent. Got it to where it was meant to go. Didn't try and kick worm-burners or anything.
3. Zaharakis - Best player in the second half, IMO. Ran hard, gave us the spark that, at least, put us in front in the third quarter. Worked well for the last quarter as well.
2. Fletcher. Spoiled well, used the ball pretty well.
1. Hardingham. As per usual, was third man up extremely well. Ball use was, considering the rest of the team, surprisingly better than the rest of the season.

Don't think I'll dignify the team with votes this week.

Watson certainly deserves it, but I certainly can't find five players worthy of votes.

Coaches votes for Round 10

10 - Jones
4 - Grimes
4 - Zaharakis
3 - Garland
3 - Moloney
3 - Watts
3 - Watson

Bit hard to make sense of the votes - Can't believe that Zaharakis was rated above Watson.
