It irks me how many of our players change their jumper numbers. Try and forge a legend yourself.

I quite like seeing guys like Frost owning 45.

It would be a shame to lose things like that by everybody jumping down the order all the time.

Agree. Luck of the draw what numbers are available when a kid starts. Player should strive to make it their own. Can understand players with links to a number asking to swap if/when it becomes available. Can understand the club keeping a particular number for a F/S recruit, Moore in 30, Daics kids in 35, bucks kids in 5.

I'd actually give Varcoe 17 cos he'll only wear it for a couple of years and by then the tarnish might have worn off it and we can give it to another worthy gun. 17 has been a beauty since Michael Richardson had it. Dougy Barwick, Burnsy, Beamer...it deserves a gun.

I'd say now days young players are more likely to choose a number that gives them a locker closer to their mates than what they wear on their back.

Maybe Sharenberg will take 5 so he can be next to Grundy and close to Ben Kennedy than Broomhead moves to 8 so all the SA boys are happy and close to each other. We could probably set up a shitty water bubbler near them to make them feel at home with Murray brown water sediments.

Move Langdon to 9 and Nathan Freeman to 12 so the Sandy Dragon connection is there. Ball ex Sandy anyway I think so that fits.

Levi Greenwood can go to 25 which is pretty close to his old number.
