I read an interesting piece on the SBMT website where they suggest winning a D4 flag tastes the same as winning an A Section flag.

I know a premiership is a premiership no matter what level you play, but surely A section flags would be the sweetest of them all?

Thoughts?

Winning an 'A Section' flag would be sweeter in the eyes of an outsider. I can assure you that I would feel the same elation in winning a Senior flag regardless of the division.

I played in losing grand finals before my one and only triumph, Therry Corpus Christi Old Boys, D Reserve Premiers, 1983. Best day and memory of my footballing career. I have the pennant and the jumper, still not washed and splattered with mud. It doesn't matter what level A or D4, firsts or seconds. Premierships for all who take the field and those who coach and help are sweetttttttttttttttttttt. The experience was so satisfying I never played another game of footy.
