I wouldn't say it's over. It's pretty hard to say considering he's in the first year of a max contract, but this might be his last chance. If this lets him play 30odd minutes missing the b2b games from next season onwards then it's a success, even if his play will never be the same. If it doesn't work then **** it, he was screwed anyway

A bit like Yao Ming playing 20-ood minutes per game and missing back-to-backs? Hopefully Roy comes back from this, but it'll be difficult to not imagine the side they could've been with Roy and Oden healthy.

What is it with Portland and injuries? I would try and trade him once he gets healthy, trade him and Oden actually
Their trade value post-injury would probably net the Blazers something in the region of Brian Scalabrine and half a packet of salt & vinegar chips.

Nah he'd still have heaps of value unless it was bloody obvious the team was unloading him simply because he's done.

Oden however. Surely the fact he looks like a 60 year old was a giveaway

In some respects if the Blazers have to choose between the half-crocked or fully crocked Roy, they may be better off if he can't play at all. 50% or less of Brandon Roy on a max deal could become the worst contract in the NBA.
