Loved the Buzzcocks, my second favourite punk band after the Banshees.
Loved his solo stuff as well, especially Homosapien which is still one of my all time favourites.

My favourite Buzzcocks song
Amazing band, and Homosapien remains one of my favourite gay anthems. Shocking, sad death. One of the underrated greats.

Although I have never had any attraction to the Buzzcocks, or to pop-punk in general – for the most part I hate it with a vengeance – that Joe S. Harrington listed A Different Kind of Tension as #8 on his 2001 to 2003 Top 100 Albums is enough to make me post here. Even if I could not agree with all of or even most of Harrington’s list, no other document was so influential in altering my musical interests.
