I've got some sad news, people.

Sir G passed away on July 13 last year. I've been able to trace his details. tigerhawk can confirm, it appears he was a stalwart at Mayne Football Club in Brisbane.

RIP, mate.

Sad to hear. He wasn't the most prolific of posters but he repeatedly (as Tiger G) had me checking to see why a Tigers supporter would make so much sense, only to grimace at my mistake upon seeing his supported club.

Ah crap. Always enjoyed his input. Mayne were an inch from folding for a while there - you can't help but respect that level of passion and support.

Very sad.

Loved his input in the QAFL/Local footy threads. Fairly certain I met him a couple times when visiting Mayne AFC.
