I personally believe imo that there is a possibility that this deal may transpire.

It is a win-win for all clubs.

Especially as I can assume Van Berlo will one day want to return home, likewise Gibbs.

The salary cap for Carlton will leave no room for Gibbs when he becomes a genuine star in the competition. You could argue who is the biggest loser, but really its a win-win-win for all three clubs.

Awesome thread

No Chance! Gibbs has so much more potential than VB and is the better player. And plus Gibbs is a future captian of the club, thus never going to get traded. What a stupid Thread

I stand by my comment that you're on crack. Why would you reply to your own thread and call it awesome?!?

I think VB is better than Gibbs at the moment atleast....VB is another rosa, butler type of midfielder though, not sure WC want that?

No. Ridiculous thread.

Coincidence that the only person to reply that said 'Awesome thread' was the thread starter? I think not.

I personally believe imo that there is no way in hell that this deal will ever transpire (but I hope you're right ;)).
And did you just call your own thread awesome?

WC will want pick 1, but will have to settle for pick 3 from Carlton. However throw in Van Berlo to them and the deal will be done.

Adelaide may need to offer something extra to Carlton to get Gibbs, Meesen, Jericho or Mattner?

How can you just assume VB will want to return home? He hasn't shown any signs of homesickness and has said he enjoys it at the Club.

Food for thought.

Good players in WA and SA originating from outside these states always want to return home.

lol, I was referrring to the comments and feedback as awesome, provokes some discussion, no need to be hostile.

Hahaha. SO you start a rumour saying VB wants to go home because other people from other states do? What a joke. Now, Mods delete thread.

Van Berlo will eventually go home......................

Is this just a gut feeling? From what I have seen of the young man he is very happy here, and you don't throw away a chance at captaining an AFL club....

Yeah he may head back to WA but I would suggest that it will be after his afl career is over.
