Don't need to upgrade anyone from the rookie list since all category A rookies can be played at anytime. Can hopefully get an extra SSP player though.

After the news about Polly Farmer emerged today I can't help but feel a bit worried for DV. I just hope the club are giving him the best care available.

But I think it's also fair to say that from a brutal purely football perspective, we won't be missing much.

Concussion has huge links to depression and anxiety so taking the year off takes the pressure off Venables and stops him from forcing himself through it to get back at a certain time.

Now he can focus on getting himself right with no timeframe to worry about.

Tough news. Was hoping to see him click and emerge, this might've been the season.
It's said he has good days and bad days with anxiety and depression both at training and away from the club.
It's a cruel business, but he'd be better off to hang his boots up and take care of himself, maybe move on.
Best of luck to him! If he returns and is fully fit and okay, well even better.
