To make an excuse for myself - these night games start so bloody late for me. 10.10 pm bouncedown last night - i'd had about 4 rums by this point and yep sure, I went a bit early.

If you happen to rewatch this game, keep a close eye on Fremantle henchman #8 Brett Rosebury and you will find he was up to usual and doing his best to hurt us. We mostly went ok with the other 3 field umpires, but virtually every time I saw a dodgy decision go against us #8 was blowing the whistle.

We have the full hawks and pies pressers but just had to listen to the fox commentators dribbling on and then they just finished up their coverage again without showing Fremantle pressa.

Did channel 7 show jlo’s presser🤷‍♂️

I hope going forward he and our club get more respect and they show these press’s

6PR is your best bet for the presser. They always play the WA coaches in full.

What is the point of supporting a ****ing team in sports if you can’t celebrate wins? I’m not saying strip naked and run through the streets for every win but the whole “I won’t be happy til we win a flag” mentality just seems like a good way to make yourself miserable for no reason

What's the point of being a fan if you can't celebrate good wins like that? Being a fan is about taking in all the highs and lows at their fullest, who cares if people go over the top and party hard after last night? That's their prerogative.

People spend too much time looking ahead and worrying about potential what if scenarios that they completely miss enjoying things in the moment.

People can clown me for it if they like, but I'll take being an eternal and almost delusional optimist every single day. It's the most enjoyable way of being a fan.
 
this is an odd vent, but the opposition flags. There's a sign as you enter the ground about the size of flags. The Hawthorn cheer squad must have its own special rules - their flags were ridiculously huge. You wouldn't want to have been sitting behind them, and they worked very well at putting off our goal kickers. In comparison, the Fremantle cheer squad had tiny flags. Maybe we should do a Go Fund Me and get them a big ass flag as well :)

I'm petty sure cheer squad flags are provided by the clubs.

Putting it here because I don't know where else to post it and because it pissed me off but I heard Tabs talking to a former Eagle and current player agent after the Sowfs game today and he was not very complimentary about Ras. I won't say exactly what he said but a lot of it I felt was harsh at best and complete bullshit at worst. Seems to love Chappy, though.

That's quite odd, I know teammates don't all have to like each other but I'm not sure where Ras would have done him wrong.

Without going verbatim, would you be willing to say what parts of Erasmus' game he doesn't like?

Really until the end of last season this board didn't have a high opinion of Erasmus. Even though there's a few still who think he's not up to it.

Geez I forgot that Tabs was still on our list in 2024.

We have moved on very quickly from him now we have key forward depth.
