Giants being slammed for the crowd going up against Tassie on the same day. We are in a similar situation but not anywhere near as bad

Thinking out loud. Bit harder to do now with the season started but it has been a problem since the start and a known problem when establishing

Why can’t the media and main broadcast camera be facing the members?

It would really only be us or the Giants to take the leap. The SCG with construction from outside has broadcast vfl games from the other side (can’t remember any afl ones)

Having boxes opposite side, is the main issue. FTA games crowds would be good anyway, Fox only games. Fox rarely show up. Really just ABC, SEN, MMM at the ground

Worst case scenario radio are on the opposite side and mirroring (which SEN has done before anyway)

Couple of dangerous tackles on the weekend only got 1 week, one had arms pinned and head hit ground. Looked as bad or worse than Baileys imo considering Rioli had both his arms free etc and he ends up with 2 weeks???

Was briefly spoke about on 360 last night and they said Suns weren't happy with the inconsistency in suspensions..

The northern states suspension tax alive and well.

Malcolm Rosas is killing it today for the Swans as a small forward, drives me mad that he was pushed out of the club because Dimma couldn’t find a spot for him.

We have a desperate need for a small forward and had one thats kicked five goals today in a half of football, frustrating

Just wait until Jed will be killing it for opposition, haha.

FWIW, sometimes the 2nd chance does wonders. Happy for Rosas. It seems like Melbourne underestimated him. He was running free out there.

Rosas never really cemented his spot on form, I always hoped he would fill the Rankine void but didn't happen. Definitely sucks watching a position we need dominant in another side

I’m happy for him as well, but it is an indictment on our clubs ability to be able to develop Players . He looks a totally different dangerous option at the swans. When you look at players like Scrimshaw and Ainsworth, two of the four top 10 pics we had that year none of them have turned out to be anything at the Suns, even Bowes looks a better player at Geelong and he did with us

In the next couple of years it will be Jed and Rodgers as you have stated

Bowes looks ok at Geelong being their 18-22 best player

Yeah, Bowes is not a good example. Looks exactly the same to me.

Scrimshaw left as a kid still, basically.

I mean, we’ve had players come to us and over-perform. Long, for example. It happens. Coaches can’t play everyone and they move on. I have no issue with players leaving who aren’t in the main team either (if that is Rogers or Walter, that’s fine and fair for them to do so).

But I do think we should have given Mally an extended run. Guess Dimma felt the next generation would plug the whole. Sadly, Mally is well into his career and putting it together now, while his replacements are not…

Sharp is probably another one I look at sometimes and wonder as we have had a need for real wingers. Though he has declined a bit over time.

None of players who left turned it on except Lynch, May, Prestia and we wanted them to stay.

Scrimshaw, Bowes, Sharp (he could still be out) just OK players for me.

So far so good for Rosas but I suspect teams will pay him a bit more attention from now on.

it definitely helps that Sydney have Papley to split the attention at least. Having two good to decent smalls is something I could only dream of.
No doubt Papley will benefit.

Can I dream about our midfield performing first? No forward line can replace midfield not doing their job.

Just want to have a whinge.
We are the Gold Coast Suns.
Those two first words are Gold Coast.

I despise losing two home games each year.

Not good enough Mark Evans.

Serve your community.
I hate it too. All indications point to this arrangement being over. Hopefully none, but probably one next year.

Apparently, it's 2M per year. We need more sponsors money.
We have that many sponsors now I couldn’t name them all. Not to mention the money from increased memberships and pink merch. If we still need cash after all that the AFL can stump up.

Home games on the GC or watch it all fall apart, two full months with no live footy on the GC kills any momentum we ever gain.

Yeah, stupid, I know but we receive the highest AFL contribution from all teams and AFL own us. 1 game next year I guess.

I still think 1 game in cairns was much better at least the locals started to get behind the team. There’s probably lucky to be 100 locals to have any interest in the suns in darwin
