Vent at idiot posters who think the last weeks score is the whole story.

Seriously...no trade is a success or failure until the end of the year when all scores are in yet everyone is anxious to stick the boot in to other players after one poor score from one player. My favourite example is the bollocks that was posted after Nick Malceski's one sub-50 score for the year. All the know it alls were out in force telling everyone how stupid they were for picking him.

Ok...I'm just narky because my theory that Matthew Kreuzer has regenerative powers like Wolverine has been proven false.

You're the guy that didn't get Goddard for this reason right?

Yes and I got him a few weeks ago with a little discount. ;)

I apoligise for my spray on madsainter as it seems to be causing trouble and taking the thread off topic.

Good luck with Heath Scotland.

Getting value is not my priority at this stage of the season. If it was, then I'd be getting guys like Grimes and Hargrave. (who I picked up earlier in the year when price was more of a factor) Give me one reason without using hindsight why Scotland was a bad pick, I figured at worst he'd give me an 85. avg and he can still turn it around, before you start venting at other posts.

Fair enough.

You thought there was less risk picking a player with runs on the board.

I don't believe this to ever be the case.

You can always find value. Kelly, Fisher, Goodwin, Mackie, Duffield, Gilbee all good chances to outscore Scotland in the back end of the season.

Scotland is old and will slow down. Prime age players don't drop off as much.

at this stage of the season your looking to finish your team off...why settle for one of the players you listed when scotland was smoking it.
was just an unlucky selection..
wont finish top 500 picking up value players who have showed no glimpses of becoming elite for their position on this years form.

Then why did you name him:confused:

I didn't say there was less risk. I said I was hoping to pick the back that would give me close to a top premium (that is, in the top 7 in the respective posistion) average going on to the end of the season.
Don't take words out of my mouth, your using hindsight to criticise a trade which at the time had minimal risk. Going for value always has higher risk, as unless there are reasons as to why they are down on scoring, why would I bring a player who is delivering sub par scores into my side?

Your missing the point, Scotland played on the wing for longer than usual this week, once he adjusts I'm sure he'll be fine. Maybe the time I brought him in wasn't the greatest, but bringing risk into it is completely irrelevant.

Vent at rumours Gram might play.
Bigger vent if he does play.

With him on the bench it's locked in Silvagni on field now. Can't play Gram cos only unlocked player is Goddard.

Vent at what I thought was my decent bench turned to dust:

MIDS:

Rohan (DP)
Gysberts

FWDS:

Sylvia (DP)
Mcneil (DP)

With Brown out (thankfully don't have Chappy), will be taking my first 0 for the year.

F***ing unbelievable. I just traded Chapman in last week for Brown.

Hasn't even played a game for me yet and now he's out with a f***ing hammy. Happens everytime I get that prick, carves it up when I don't have him and then as soon as I give in to temptation and pick him, bang goes the f***ing hammy.

Only have Watts as cover too who is on an extended interchange and no guarantee of even playing. FML

Chapman Hammy OUT

Actually maybe should be on Kudos Thread for some

yep. that belongs in the Kudos Thread. :D
