with campo likely to be playing in other colour next year, what impacts if any will this have on our veterans list and payments?

this should leave only kouta on the veterans list.

what is the rule currently on the amount that can fall under the veterans list payments.

1 player = 50% of player
2 players = 50% of each player
3 players = 33.3% of each payer
4 players = 25% of each player

From memory, I think your spot on regarding the split up of salary. They changed the rules a few seasons back extend the veterans List from 2 to 4. Basically, to avoid the scenario where Mick Martyn was delisted and subsequently redrafted, in order to add Anthony Stevens to the Veterans List.

We don't have anyone else eligible & won't for a few years. If Kouta retires in 2007 we will have no one.

Lappin would have to be only realistic chance any time soon, assuming he stays.

Lappin started with us in 99. Lance in 97. Might have swayed the decision to keep Lance knowing he can be veteran listed with Kouta most likely retiring after the 2006 season and nobody else who we can veteran list.
