No Strauss! Anyone know why he isn't playing?

Bailey obviously had been reading BF's urges to play him the AFL and decided to stick it up us and not let him play at all.

Why is Bail in the reserves? I haven't followed him much since early on when I lost a bit of interest in him after seeing him turn over the ball with 2 out of every 3 kicks.

Could Strauss not playing be a sign that he could debut? I know he's not listed as an Emergency but i dont see any other reason why he's not playing, As far as i know hes not injured

I beleive it 100%.

ANY player who shows any promise for the MFC has to get struck down by an injury- fairly certain its part of their rookie contracts

Don't know mate.

He was certainly playing late in the Casey match, so if it was a gameday injury it must have been late. It could of happened during training. Or it might be something to get right before next year, sadly being fit for preseason is more important for our players than playing (at AFL or VFL) for the rest of the season.

Interesting there was no match report from German this week? (If there is I haven't seen it). I can understand why because I wouldn't be happy after they lost that game. It might have been a case if you don't have anything nice to say you're better off not saying it. Then again it is just as likely the report was done and the problem came later in line.

Ther goes my idea for Zomer...... your right the forward line would be way top heavy with him in it aswell....

This is rotten news if it's true - Strauss was the one player in Casey I most wanted to see in seniors b4 end of season. Has the potential to be Gilbee at least & seemed to have great understanding in 2008 NAB U18 tournament with Watts & Blease. The only good part - if true - is that at least it's not a leg injury. Can it be confirmed?

Something on D'land about Maric being out with a shoulder injury too. Not possible that they've been mixed up somehow????

Maric was the one who had a shoulder injury last week, but he returned later on and seemed to be fine and played out the rest of the game.
