The VFL side is playing a praccy match against Old Scotch at Gosch's Paddock tomorrow from 11 or 11.30am I think - presumably all the above mentioned guys should be playing.

no need to name drop Dave, the game's at 11am

story below...

Veteran forward Anthony Rocca will line-up for Collingwood’s VFL side set to take on Old Scotch (associated with the Victorian Amateur Football Association) at Gosch’s Paddock on Saturday 28 March at 11 am.

Rocca, who sustained an ankle injury in round 13 of the AFL season and was forced to miss the rest of the year, has trained with the senior team for the last two months and will make his return to competitive football this weekend.

Rocca joins fellow AFL-listed teammates Cameron Wood, Leigh Brown, John McCarthy, Brent Macaffer, Scott Reed, Steele Sidebottom, Jarrad Blight and Jaxson Barham in the VFL side for Saturday.

The game will be the last practice match for the VFL Magpies as they commence their regular season campaign on Saturday 11 April

Collingwood’s VFL official playing list will be finalised and published next week on collingwoodfc.com.au with player pictures and profiles.

The VFL match serves as the curtain raiser for Collingwood’s game against Adelaide at the MCG at 2.15 pm.

Not at two differnt places

Its cool but still it would be better if it was played on the G before our match, not up the road and around the corner

True would be nice to have it a the G But it's still close by

Might be reading too much into it, but Beams to debut?

Yeah I really should be doing backflips.. getting smashed in the clearances.. even if we beat Adelaide we can't win a flag if we don't do something about that

Where have you gone now tosser when we're in front......???!!!

People like you ruin this board with your constant criticism.

Nothing good to say, **** Off!

We are 1 point down moron... and still getting smashed in the clearances.. in fact if Adelaide were kicking straight the game would be over.. if we are contenders this had to be a 10 goal win.. so do your little cheer leader dance.. it's going to be a long year princess

You don't have to follow us this season, i doubt many BF posters would complain. :thumbsu:

I can't hear you..

That's what I thought mouthboy

Mouthboy??? I better start tying the noose cause that shit is devastating to my self esteem....

28-10 to 5-1

Thanks for the info for the where and when DTM.

A pretty sloppy first half then the boys got a gentle nudge from Brownie at half time and put it into second gear and then it seemed almost pointless to be down the back half.

Rocca still seems to favour one side when he shifts his weight from side to side and sometimes when he runs.

Callum Sinclair No 27 is not afraid of taking a strong overhead mark in front of the AFL players e.g. Jarryd Blair (who was screaming "it's mine, it's mine") and even in front of the big man himself. If he had done that to Big Barry he would have known about keeping clear of his space after he woke up. :D

Hope he is available for next year's draft picks if today's efforts are a glimpse of his potential.

Dawes seemed to be carrying some right hamstring tightness whilst playing kick to kick and I saw JMac's mom (?) put a ice pack on his right shoulder. I rate this kid highly after seeing his his gutsy drives for ground balls late 2008, so fingers crossed re: minor niggle rather than anything serious.
