What's Marchings wet form like?
Can't decide until i see just how wet it is going to be.

Thought Marching finished off well last week and Kibbutz was impressive still taking ground of it. With 2500m ahead in the Derby, from what i've seen these are the only two i see in it as i don't think Villian is good enough IMO.

Although I didn't see Stockade's run, was apparently v.good circling the field to win well, Freedmans other runner was apparently held up on the corner and ran on for 2nd.

Did anyone see this race? As it was 2200m and the distance is always a query in the Derby.

Does anyone have a decent replay of the AAMI Vase, because TVN just have the channel 9 replay with the helicopter camera and then the panning shot down the straight, it makes it hard to judge kibbutz's run and marching's as well.

I tried the TVN site and it didn't show any film (AAMI Vase) at all , just the audio.
I then tried the Bigpond Racing site and that was exactly the same.

Anyone know where I can view it ?

I think there might not be any decent footage, because a blackout stuffed up sportscolours cameras, the best might be the helicopter shot and then massive angle shot that was shown on channel 9 on the day and is being replayed on TVN black bookers and will probably be played many times on saturday morning.

Good photo of Marching rolling Kibbutz. Notice the horses ears pricked.. He wanted to do another lap. :)

Breaking news!!

GALILEO FIGARO is out!!

The race will surely change complexion now!! :)

Well I was on Marching on saturday but I reckon i might switch to Littorio for the Derby. Still haven't completely made up my mind but as a value punter I do like $7 the latter.

Rumour: Marching has shin soreness, Hawks camp trying to keep it hush hush, if big money starts coming for Kibbutz then I'd be with it.
Villain has peaked.

IF this was true, would the Hawkes camp risk running it over a distance they thought may have been a stretch to begin with?

I knew someone very closely who worked in the Melbourne stable for Hawkes and they ran a 3 year old filly back in 2003 i think and she had a hole in one of her tendons. They knew but raced her anyway knowing she could easily break down during the oaks.

took me all of 25secs to discover royal mask was hawkes' only runner in the oaks that year. (thanks expertform!)

Early in the week i was thinking either Marching or Kibbutz, going with the Vase form. Now i've changed and i'm thinking either Marching or Littorio. I think maybe that Marching has everything from the Vase covered and Littorio was the best of the Caulfield race. Barrier 1 means he'll get the great run which will help save energy in the 2500, which is always a query for these races
