Is it just me or are we in danger of a couple of blokes missing due to video reports from the Swans game ?

Blake must get cited for his reckless canon into Goodes when he came off the bench. Was'nt a malicious act but by this years standards he may get cited and given a good record hopefully offered a match reduced to a warning with activation points for future offenses.

Mooney continues to walk a fine line and you just get the feeling he's one brain fade away from a few weeks off. his retaliation to the Ling incident was great from a leadership perspective however if it results ina week or two because of his poor record then it's a pointless excercise on his part.

if Mooney misses a week then it's a great chance to play Tomahawk under the roof at telstra dome for a one week 'cameo appearance' before he goes back into mothballs until round 18-19.

What I have seen on highlights it was only a round the neck sort of tackle from behind didn't connect with anything. I was at the other end of the ground but saw Blake get Goodes and had a laugh but MMM said he might get points doesn't have a record.

personally I don't think Mooney has much to worry about. Blakes was more reckless so we will just have to wait and see. But did anyone see Chappy take down Everitt, that was awesome

Given his record I'd say "round the neck" = head high = week or two ???

No way that Mooney should be reported, Blake shouldn't be suspended either, it's not like he went maliciously into Goodes' back, anyway, what did Goodes get for his blatant cheapshot from behind earlier in the year?

Just saw both incidents on Fox's replay of the game.

Mooney's swinging arm on Barry got him more in the shoulder area, so I wouldn't think that would get cited.

Blake's bump on Goodes didn't look anywhere near as serious as I thought it was yesterday (was sitting right behind it), was more clumsy than anything else.

Still, who knows what the MRP will do.

Moons will not miss. It was wrestlemania at best and only will get a fine if unlucky. He chased Barry and gave away a free kick, (which the ump didn't pick up on), so it was very soft.

They replayed it on Ten and it was nothing. The wrestle afterwards was soft also, just jumper pulling. I'd highly doubt he went for anything, and if the latest debarcles are anything to go by Mooney shouldn't have to appear.

Reckon Sydney have more reason to worry about from the MRP than we do. Goodes might go for whacking Cameron Ling, and there were a couple of head-high bumps as well.

A shame Blake didn't put his knee right into that sniping p.ricks back.Nothing in the Mooney one with Barry. He dragged him down from behind, that's all.

O'Keefe [v Selwood],Vogels[v Selwood],Goodes [v Ling] and Barry [v Ling] are the ones that might be in trouble

I was enjoying reading the thread ..............................until I read this post.

Really......................only the incidents with Swans should be investigated.

That's a fair call I suppose.

My thoughts...........................Mooney is safe. But is asking for trouble given his history. He should learn to just run the other way. Blake will go but may play with a reduction in points.
Leaping Leo will go up & it's a 50/50 which way the MRP will see it.

The Cats are looking alright for the flag. Start queing up for tickets.

Cheers!:thumbsu:

What about the hits on Selwood in the first ?
They were no different to what Max got a week for.In fact Vogels was almost identical.

I agree and was miffed that he never got free kicks for them. The Swans came out to play dirty on Saturday and I really hope a few of them get suspended for it.

There was a very thin line between fair and unduly rough on the player on the weekend. I bet the Swans were told to rough up the Cats to see what happens.

That is what I love about our team. Ling just took knocks all day, some which would have floored any other player (well except Bartel), with the Barry hit really going over that border.

In tough conditions like that, to try and make such a precise hit was just clumsy and stupid. Barry should go for a week for that.

However the MRP has made some really poor decisions lately, especially after the change out of personnel. Hits that were exactly the same as Kelly's and Stokes' earlier in the year were given very light or no penalties.

There was one on Selwood when he had his head over the ball and was hit near the top of the shoulder and neck, I think that was O'keefe. He tried to pull up, to which the ump just thought the contact was negligible.

However there wasn't much a difference between that and what happened to Rooke a few weeks ago. It certainly will be interesting to see what happens this week in the MRP.

I thought with the Mooney incident that it would not be a citable offence if performed by any of the other 43 on the teamsheets but...........it WAS Cam.
That fact alone makes it a chance to become a report.
In a perfect world I would hope that he got cited, went up before the tribunal and then got off scott free.
That would give him an opportunity to shit himself for 24 hours and maybe go back to using the CONTROLLED aggresssion he has made his hallmark to date this season.
If he does go up I will be shitting myself too, so perhaps it is better that he doesn't get cited at all.

IF Mooney doesnt go it is luck more than anything. The intent was to take Barrys head off he just missed.

Can't blame him. Wish he tried to get goodes to

They didn't see the head highs on Selwood x 2 or Lingy so how could they Moons........oops sorry it's moons...answers own question:)

Goodes has inherited the mantle off one J.Hird as the new lovechild of the the umpiring fraternity and the tribunal

Should just use the provocation defence, there is a precedent now.
