Vince reported

he will receive a fine only

what I found strange was why wasn't McVeigh reported for wrestling, McVeigh was the initiated the incident and I have never seen only one player reported for wrestling, usually both players get reported and fined

i find it pretty strange that McVeigh gives Vince a straight punch to the chin and somehow they report Vince for wrestling, yeah at the game it didnt seem like anything, fines are usually the main thing and i doubt he will even get that :thumbsu:

Was nothing in it. When they replayed it, it didnt even look like Vince did anything.. McVeigh grabbed Vince and fell to the ground while Vince kept his feet.

Will be shocked if he's even fined for it.

Also mildy surprised that it wasn't Van Berlo or Mackay who got reported:D

If its a fine only then :thumbsu:

I was most impressed with Vince that despite the attention that he received, he never lost his control (& ditto Scott Thompson).

Bloody umpires with seeing eye dogs. Vince gets belted and he gets reported when the other slug drags him down.

If the report doesn't get quashed (check out the replay) then the AFL system has become worst than a farce, and Demetrio has shyte on his face.

He'd be lucky to get a fine out of it, saw the incident during the replay and it was more or less all McVeigh. Bernie just held his ground.

What an indictment on the three umpire (+ emergency) system that Vince gets reported after all the pathetic shit Essendon were up to against him last night.

Vince really came of age last night. A wonderful all round performance.

Watching the replay this morning, the emergency umpire could be heard saying that he was reporting McVeigh for wrestling. The commentators then said that is was good from the umpire to only report the instigator.

Whether that's what's actually happened or not, however...

:D Fell off my chair laughing at that one.

Vince copped as much attention as I've seen any of our mids cop this year. He did keep his cool, but you could tell in the 3rd q that it was starting to get to him. Lost count of the times he was illegally held at the centre bounce or at stoppages. It's a bit like Tip. If Tip ever gets the frees he deserves he'll kick 15 in a game.
The good thing is that Vince was able to rise above it for a BOG performance. He does have fire in the belly. Hope he can resist the temptation to hook a tagger.

If he got done for wrestling, that wouldnt rule him ineligible for the charlie would it?

no he is still eligible for the Charlie, Im not sure on the wrestling charge but reports in finals series do not impact of the Charlie

The charge will probably be thrown out, after all how can only one person be booked for wrestling.

Seeing as it's just a fine if he gets done, is it worth challenging if he gets done or should he just pay it and save the distraction of a tribunal visit.
