Hey guys,
I need some URGENT help! My computer appears to be heavily infected with a virus. I have an AVG scanner that pops up about 10 times whenever I load something up (even just a new web page) and it either says its a trojan horse downloader or its an infected start page. Does anyone know how to fix either? Whenever I do a virus scan of the whole computer there is always 2 files that I can't seem to disinfect or get rid of that are on my hard drive. I am guessing they are the bastards that are causing my headaches. How do I get rid of them?

I also have an issue that whenever I start up windows, once windows fully loads an error message comes up saying :
Explorer
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persists contact the program vendor.

Now I can still work the computer even though this message is up...I just have to drag and drop it out of site. However, if I click on close then windows shuts down and I get nothing but the wallpaper on my screen. Anyone know how to fix this as well?

Cheers

[edit]removed PandaSoft for the time being.. that one

When you are asked to use the online software it makes you download something Yes, No Cancel are the options. Click yes, kaboom.. youve got yourself a free virus. Lucky my virus detector picked it up.

I know the site your referring to i would like to know which virus? and which virus scanner picked it up? it uses ActiveX so maybe your virus scanner is thinking it is doing something malicious when it probably isn't, it might just have the signature of a virus, and your scanner is getting confused?

no need to i'll have a look at it with my other computer that has antivir on it.

to rfctigerarmy

Okay i had a look its reporting it contains the signature of vbs/newlove.a virus.

The way i see it, it's probably not a virus, its being mis-interupted by Antivir.

For the time being i will keep that site removed, as i can't seem to find anything in english about it on antivir website.

edit:

Okay managed to find some more details looks like i was right, antivir is reporting a false positive

sir_dan,

a couple of days ago i got the trojan horse virus via downloading a game, so i immediatley used my AVG and it saided it healed it. but, when i went to the internet the address said about:blank and when you tried to get to a site it would say illegal thing, like yours. What i did was Re-install the internet explorer.
