In Qld its not shown on 10 only on Fox.I have Fox,but I will prefer to watch the Wallabies everytime over that match.
Now come on, World Cup Final rematch over the Pies, no contest.

Sydney and Brisbane ratings for the Pies will be non existent.

Considering Sydney people can watch both matches(Swans coverage starts at 8.30 so the game will probably start after the finish of the union) what do you base comments re the ratings on?

Howdy mate. You going termorry? What are the facilities like down at Homebush? Good chip quality?

Wouldn't miss it for quids mate!

Facilities are quite good, although some of the pocket seating towards the back has ordinary viewing (so I don't sit there).

I've got seats near the Collingwood CS so I plan on having a fun night ;) .

Overall, chip quality is acceptable, but I had to pass up an offer for the corporate box as I'd booked with mates, so the spud quality could have been better....

Still, a pie and a beer (ok, several) and a 34 point win and I'll go home a happy man!

Didn't we have 4-4 split round until 2002, but clubs were whinging about their draw the next week. 2-week-break-team vs 1-week-break-team etc etc. So the AFL fixtured (or non-fixtured) the week off. More whinging. Ergo this draw.

I don't have a problem with it. Let's hear Collingwood and Sydney whinge next week about playing fresh teams.

Amen. Make sure you bring the bog roll to give to the CCS following the game!

I've organised the mrs to go out, and I've got a Collingwood 'acquaintance' (can't say "mate", not this week)coming over...kids in bed, cold VB in the ridgey-didge, fried potato snacks on hand, BBBBHall running through the inanimate carbon rod....can't wait.

Both those points must have cost you a smallish fortune, no doubt Huey?

Money well invested, I reckon!!

Mmmm...let's see - you pay money for your missus to go out, whilst you stay at home, look after the kids, have a Collingwood 'acquaintance' around to watch a game that you may well lose, get ****ed and miss out on a possible 'Gym Boot' because you get too drunk in commiserating over your loss....

OR...

The missus' stays at home, looks after the kids, but out of your way allowing free and easy access to the evening's viewing (hey, she may even bring you the VB's and assorted fried potato snacks!!), you have time to bag your Collingwood d1ckhead mate as your side strides away after half-time, you get happily drunk, but not enough to joyfully shag the good lady wife after the game.

Decisions, decisions......

Man, some of your Victorians have no idea of the bigger picture of things.

It is being marketed as a blockbuster because
A) Collingwood are the biggest club in Victoria
B) there will be a crowd over 50000 in attendance
C)the game drew 72000 last season
B) games have to be marketed as such in Sydney so that they get media and community attention.

Like why is it the Swans' fault that the Pies are having a bad season?

Get over yourselves, some of you.

Factors you raised:
1. Doesn't matter how trousered I get, I'm always available, although my inebriated state occasionally causes a less-than-amorous effect on the cheese'n'kisses (waaayyyyy too much info);
2. Money I am investing I won on the Brisbane Cup Day (Go you Golden Snitch and La Serenade quinella! Get out stakes extraordinaire!);
3. Maybe the second option IS more preferable, although if the Swans lose (god forbid), ejecting my soon-to-be ex-mate may be somewhat laborious and tiresome.

Bi-Lo has a Market Day?

Speaking of earning money, I hire my shirt out to Silvers Circus on the weekends.

And congrats to you both (and I'll share the credit) on the great hi-jack.

Why not have 4 games one weekend and 4 the next? Seems fairly simple to me.

Don't be silly Ricardo, thats too logical for Demitriou and his buddies at the AFL....

Dont be Ridiculous Mitch, how would Collingwood get the ratings???

Honestly, this would be the perfect oppourtunity, if they were to play two teams to give the less-privliged teams a chance for the exposure.

it doesnt necessarily have to be 4 games each weekend either.

you could play 6 in one week 2 in the other. one friday night, one Saturday(night).

team 1 v team 2
team 3 v team 4

then in the next full round.

team 1 v team 3
team 2 v team 4

so once those two rounds have passed all teams will have the same amount of time off, without giving any team a weeks advantage.

All of this with the ability to have two blockbusters with no other games being played the same day.

but like it has been said previously the AFL is D.A.D.S. so this will never happen.

Eddie has to have all of these big block busters in the hope that they can win something each year. They certainly havent been able to bring home the big one for a long ,he has to keep the Collingwood supporters interested somehow by telling them that these are big games. They can shove all their blockbusters as far as I am concerned give me a Premiership cup anyday.

I've seen my team win a flag , have you?
