For the benefit of those 'swinging voters' out there, and for anyone not sure who they want to vote for - I'm happy to personally vouch for Mark Perkins.
No slight on any of the other candidates, as I don't know them, but I can assure you, a vote for Mark won't be a wasted one.
I've known him for 25+ years & here's a few reasons why I believe he is a worthy candidate.
(i) Age: 37 years. Plenty of life & business experience, yet young & enthusiastic enough to inject new life into our board & leadership team
(ii) Started up successful businesses from scratch. Demonstrated history of rolling up his sleeves and getting the job done.
(iii) Knows how an AFL (& especially our club & successful football department) is run. Was North Melbourne's team manager 1995-97 during our most successful onfield era ever.
(iv) Respected by the playing group/footy dept of that era, directors & senior club administrators.
Stated Aims & Objectives
The North Melbourne Football Club to remain a Melbourne based club. The club to build its own asset base and achieve financial independence by drawing on the resources of successful and innovative North Melbourne people to contribute with new ideas and revenue initiatives. Provide supporters with direct access to the Board via an email address personally overseen by a Board member. Supporters can submit their ideas and revenue initiatives direct to a Board member at any time and play an active role in re-energising and improving their club. Provide media training to a select group of young players who will actively promote the club in the media and project a more positive, vibrant and youthful image of the club. Improve club/media relations. Become a more open and media friendly football club. Provide opportunities for prominent North Melbourne people in the media to become more involved in lifting the club profile.

Personal connection aside, endorsements from Dugdale & Stevens & the objectives stated above should warm the hearts of 99% of the regulars on here.
But death & taxes are the only certainties in life. So...if you like the look of this candidate don't sit on your hands. Get off your arse, get a proxy form completed and send it into the club. You've all wanted your chance to be heard and have a say in the running of the club - will this is your chance.
