so hard to give votes, as I said in another thread, there were 12 guys who all played about equally as good as each other, but anyway, for me:

5 - Daniel Chick
4 - Ben Cousins
3 - Chad Fletcher
2 - Andrew Embley
1 - Chris Judd

Adam Hunter, Ashley Sampi, Michael Gardiner, Drew Banfield, Daniel Kerr, Darren Glass and Rowan Jones could've easily snuck in for votes for their respective efforts.

5. Chick
4. Fletcher
3. Judd
2. Cousins
1. Embley

Unlucky: Kerr, Gardiner (great tapwork all day) and Banfield

I'm suprised to see Judd actually get votes from 3 out of the 4 voters so far......even though I was one of them. I thought the majority would've overlooked him because it wasn't his biggest game in terms of contribution which is what people usually look for to give votes, but It just seemed whenever he was around the contest, even if he did nothing, we seemed to come away with the ball.

Had to listen to the game on the radio, so my votes may be a bit misguided. But anyway:

5) Embley - Sounded like he was directly involved in every crucial contest in the match
4) Chick - Commentators praised his game to no end. His kicks off the ground seemed to often find team-mates
3) Cousins - Very influential if the commentary was anything to go by
2) Judd - Apparently he played as if it was a dry sunny day. Says something about his class (Juddmania continues :D )
1) Fletcher - Consistant all day

You're right it just shows possessions don't count for everything, but rather the quality of them especially in a scrappy game like that one.
Judd was amazing in the wet, keeping his feet in the packs and getting some really good disposals away taking into consideration the weather.
Chick as well, he was off for a large part of the game and didn't have as many possies, but his hardness at the contest when it mattered just set-up so much for us and in my mind he deserved b.o.g for that.

5. Chick- inspirational, tough and smart. Did the bulk of the pack work, despite playing one armed for the second half. No Chick, no win.

4. Gardiner- Superb tapwork, 40 well directed hitouts, and showed good skills around the ground.

3. Fletcher- second and third efforts were fantastic.

2. Embley - Kicked 3, could have had 5 but for poor finishing.

1. Cousins- toiled all day. poised as usual.

Apologies to a LOT of people, most notably Judd, Hunter, Haynes, Humm Jako, Banners, Glass and Sampi

5 - Chick - not only did he have impressive stats with 21 disposals, 4 marks, 1 goal, 7 Ins50's, 3 clearances and 8 tackles but it was his work off the ball. The tackling, the second, third at at time 4th efforts! The playing through pain, the kicking off the ground and running after it like a mad man...he was just excellent all day.

4 - Cousins - another class game from the captain. He led us with 23 disposals, he also had 5 clearances and 6 tackles! Ran all day long and used the ball extremely well in tough conditions.

3 - Banfield - cant believe he hasnt got more votes but when a guy lays 9 tackles in one game, he has to be worth votes! Throw 17 hard fought disposals out of the backline on top of that and his general toughness and grit....well he was almost BOG.

2 - Gardiner - brilliant tap work all day, had 40 HO's! Dominated the ruck. Has 12 disposals and was great around the ground with 5 marks, 6 Ins50's and 6 clearances.

1 - Judd - had 17 touches but each was a gem, uses the ball extremely well and continues to baulk tackles which is extremely fun to watch. Kicked another 2 pretty good goals and just got the last votes ahead of several others.

Apologies to Hunter, Humm, Fletcher, Jakovich, Jones, Embley, Wirrpunda and Sampi.

5. Chick - Did all the hard stuff with a injured shoulder.
4. Cousins - Back to his best. Ran hard, work ethic was brilliant.
3. Embley - Would have got 5 if he could kick :)
2. Banfield - As jod said, nine tackles can't be ignored
1. Judd - A game worthy of getting Dermie up to three players :D.

Jako did a good job on Rocca, Wirra's skill with the wet ball was second to none (excluding that OOF in the last quarter), thought Hunter showed a return to form, Fletcher did pretty well all day, Gardiner was excellent and Jones tried hard.

5) Chick
4) Embley
3) Cousins
2) Banfield
1) Hunter (for playing his best game all season)

If we were giving bonus points, I'd give mine to Ashley Sampi for his matchwinning goal again.

5. Fletcher

4. Chick

3. Cousins

2. Banfield - I know I give him some stick for the games where he gets mauled (normally by very skillful opponents, Braun's turn yesterday), he was tops in the wet.

1. Judd - he was, wait for it ... Juddalicious.

Can I trademark that term?

Ohhh, and surely after yesterday, Trent Carroll is a forward .... says something about his defending.
