Simpson played a good game. I don't agree with the soft possession comment, I thought he did some good stuff with the ball and played for the team rather than himself.

Radio says Gibbs and Simmo had lots of soft meaningless poss. Sticks74 did they have impact?

Ignore the radio. Judd was a class above today & Simmo's game was close to his best for the club. Judd & Simmo were the two best players on the ground today.

5. Judd
4. Simpson
3. Thornton
2. Betts
1. Murphy

With major apologies to Waite, Gibbs & Kreuzer & well done by Fev for keeping his body language positive despite not being the focus of our attack today.

special mention to Heath Scotland.

Was a terrific contributer all day, when he mucked that handball up in the last quarter which resulted in a goal, he was really dirty on himself, he made amends 2 mins later by putting in the most courageous act of the day. Well done Scotto.

5 - Kade Simpson (brilliant all day and took some very courageous marks)
4 - Chris Judd (4 FA - surely a career high?)
3 - Bret Thornton (didn't have much to mind but was excellent in defence)
2 - Jarrad Waite (3 goals - not a bad effort)
1 - Marc Murphy (2.2 goals - not a bad effort)

Robinson, Betts, Gibbs and a host of others thereabouts.

5. Chris Judd. Class above anyone else in the midfield today. Makes things happen from nothing.
4. Jarrad Waite. 3 goals, and all of them were fantastic. Great mark, great tackle, and great athletisism. Showing us all his skills
3. Kade Simpson. Best game in a long long time. Where have these games been?
2. Eddie Betts. Works so hard off the ball, and gee he was good today.
1. Matthew Kreuzer. Could have given this last vote to a few, but for a bit bloke, he just never gives up, and that mark and goal had quality stamped all over it.

5 Judd- Was brilliant
4 Waite - got us going and pressure was brilliant
3 Simmo - always seems to lift against the pies
2 Gibbs - played very well tackled did all the team things
1 Kruz - boy can he play footy and its his 2nd year of AFL... now thats scary

special mentions have to go out to Scotland for the attack on the footy.. damn that hit was huge you could hear that clack from a mile away...loved it....

overall great team effort

5. Judd - Star. Clear BOG in my opinion.
4. Simpson - Gave us good run and used the ball better today.
3. Waite - Should play forward each week IMO.
2. Murphy - Becoming a consistent goal kicking midfielder.
1. Betts - Usual crumbing and running.

1. Judd - best footballer in the AFL, easily.
2. Waite - kicked crucial goals, and played all over the ground. In red hot form
3. Gibbs - a brilliant user of the ball. Setup countless forward moves
4. Simmo - great game. Back in form
5. Bower - rock solid in defence. Creative
6. Murph - very consistent this year.

:)

5 - Juddy. Wow.
4 - Simmo. Great game, particularly in the first half when it was on the line. "Soft touches" call I read somewhere else just plain incorrect.
3 - Waitey. Love him forward.
2 - Thornton. Underrated performance from T-Bird today, really liked his game.
1 - Kreuzer. Dominated. Against hacks, sure, but you can only pull the pants down of those you play...

Betts maybe unlucky, was largely quiet but it's tough to deny four goals from a small forward.

Robbo probably close, had a pretty good one and I love his endeavour but just thought his decision-making was a little poor on several occasions. Small gripe on a kid in his fourth or fifth game.

5 - Judd (by a mile...even throws in 8 tackles)
4 - Thornton
3 - Simpson
2 - Betts
1 - Waite

Can't believe people can leave out Thornton. He is always so unfairly judged

Not a fan but to give him credit - he did what he did today well.
Point is tho, you've given 4 votes to a bloke who floated around the backline unmanned all game (apart from short time when he was 1-on-1 with John Anthony and got towelled) and and failed to reward blokes who won the hard ball while under constant pressure of opponents/taggers in Murphy and Gibbs. Thought Hampson took big steps forward for us today - wasn't great but was ok. in 3-4 weeks when Warnock becomes available, we want Hampson fit and firing - imagine if you will Fev (a fit and focussed kind), Waite and Kruezer as a forward lineup for opposition coaches to get their heads around!!

5 - Judd. Awesome game from "The Man." When we where tested, he would take the game on and win a big stoppage or break a line.

4 - Simpson. One of his best games for the club. He often goes missing for bits of games, but today he gave a real 4 quarter effort.

3 - Gibbs. His ball use was absolutely first-class.

2 - Betts. Another excellent game from our most improved player.

1 - Kreuzer. The big man is getting better and better.

3. Judd
2. Gibbs
1 Simpson (best game for a while)

special mentions , Murphy, Kruezer, Scotland

anyone who rated thornton's game has zero knowledge about the difference between hard ball gets and soft possies...

3 Judd
2 Betts
1 Kruezer ... got a man crush on Humphrey, to think Richmond w***ers keep hanging shit on us for overlooking an injury riddled crab in cotchin :D :D :p
