Newman kept Black pretty quiet (about 4 kicks I think), good effort. Good to see. Hopefully it means no spot for Sziller. If the season is over then why is Sziller still playing? Surely we should be giving every opportunity to others on the list (Krakouer and Mills spring to mind). If you can't force your way into our side at the moment then give the game away because you're never going to get a better chance. Sadly it looked as though Poyas was just about to get a real extended go.

Some clown in The Herald-Sun named Bowden in our best which just proves that in some Journo's eyes stats mean everything. Was he at the game? Bowden accumulated 30 of the most useless posessions I have seen for quite some time. Also thought Knighter, Torney, Ednie and Chaff tried hard. Cambo looked like the only Tiger who copped a tagger. Not sure about Hyde but it was only his 2nd game and he at least looked excited to be out there.

I think you will find that Newman played on Akermanis all night and kept him to the bare minimum.
