5. Lynch- alas, i have to agree with M_V on this one. Was the standout in defence and probably the difference between the two teams. Just a rock whenever the pressure was on.
4. Judd- 'His usual self' three words which mean '****ing fantastic' when applied to Juddy. Did blow a couple of chances in the final term, but was awesome all day.
3. Hansen- quality at CHF.
2. Fletcher- Prolific and lethal.
1. Chick- superb at ground level in defence.

Braun, Kerr, Glass, McDougall all deserve votes. Hunter and Banfield were both pretty decent in their comeback games.

5. Lynch - Maybe not quite B.O.G but I just had to give this bloke a nod, he was great and really made the most of his opportunities and his own ability.
4. Judd - Great stuff, would have got the 5 if he'd finished off with a couple more goals.
3. Glass - Really solid, loved that courageous mark, great to see from a bloke who used to carry a 'soft' tag.
2. Cox - Great in the ruck.
1. Hunter - Good return, put his case forward for the 'Carroll or Hunter' spot in the team.

Unlucky - Fletcher, Braun, Drew (Great to have him back), Chick, Butler, Hansen and Doogs - Cousins was also good across half forward.

5 - Michael Braun - he was awesome. He had 22 touches and 5 marks but also had 11 tackles! He did all the hard stuff and all his disposals were good ones. His best game of the season.

4 - Chad Fletcher - lethal and prolific. Kicked a great little goal too, hasnt been as good overall as he was last year but that was certainly a return to his best.

3 - Chris Judd - wasnt absolutely dominant like he can be but he was still the major possession winner on the ground and kicked a great goal. Had a couple of chances to sew it up but missed what he usually gobbles up.

2 - Quiten Lynch - Jako like performance at CHB. Was dominant in the air and at ground level and detroyed whichever opponent he was assigned to.

1 - Darren Glass - like Lynch, he just dominated the backline, backed himself on more than one occasion and one the footy. Had a lot of great spoils aswell and was a constant thorn in Geelongs side.

Unlucky - well there were a lot of guys who played really well. Hunter was fantastic down back and across half forward in his return to the side. Banfield also in his comeback game was terrific and his career is well and truly not over.

Cousins was very good and only just missed out on votes, injury cloud again but he just toughs it out and leads by example. Kerr was another unsung hero, 18 touches and 9 tackles! Butler too was very good through midfield.

Nicoski was great of half back again, Sampi was electric early but faded, Cox dominated the ruck, Morrison had his best game of the season by far and Chick had a great battle with Ablett.

Also cant forget the two big lads up forward. Hansen and Doogs only combined for 3 goals and 10 marks but it was there constant presense and hard work which made them stand out. Second efforts, solid leads and their ability to bring the ball to ground and provide a target was good to see.

My votes for the round

5 Lynch - loved his game especialy contested marks
4 Cox - absolutely dominated the hit out 40 to 22
3 Braun - I think he was our hardest working player for the whole game, between him and Kerr they laid 20 tackles
2 Judd
1 Hansen for the way he put his body on the line

Unlucky

Butler (only 1 tackle or he would have got a vote), Glass, McDougall (could not find room for him this week), Nicoski and Brett Jones (does anybody know if he is badly injured?)

5- Judd
4- Braun
3- Lynch
2- Glass
1- Hansen

Unlucky-
Butler- will be a great player
Fletcher- 30 odd touches

5. Hunter
4. Fletcher
3. Glass
2. Braun
1. Judd

This was so much a team effort that any 5 out of 15 could be up there. I was rapt with Hunter. His hardness and attack on the ball wasa fweature so missing this season from the half back flank. I'm sure he inspired Nicoski, Glass and Lynch who all had great games. Banfield would have contributed his experience too. Chicky did a fantastic job all night despite another injury (foot). Braun's usual 110% rose to 150% and god knows how many tackles he made, but his disposal let him down again. Fletch was a real 4 quarter player and actually scored with his right foot. Juddy was awesome at times but must defend better. That last minute intercept by Rowan Jones was almost worth a point, but he only played a quarter of a game. Hansen improves evry game and is a good kick on goal. Coxy won the ruck but tended to find opponents, those over the back taps aren't working. Sampi put much more nto this game, great. Sam Butler also improves every game, but he's not tagged like the stars are.

Well, the all important game is next week. Win and we have a chance of the 8.

ps Wooden was great for Subi and I'd like to see him back again.

5 - lynch
4 - Hansen - definately somebody the eagles should hang onto
3 - Fletcher
2 - Kerr - was excellent at getting the ball off the other team but didn't do as much as I'd have hoped with it
1 - Judd - at such a crucial point in the game, those last few points should have been goals. If geelong had managed a goal in the last few minutes, I bet that Judd would be given a lot less points this week.

Others - Braun, Nikoski, Glass and Butler stand out for me. Sampi also lifted his game a fair bit

5. Braun - one of, if not the best game he's played all season for mine. 11 tackles, what an effort!

4. Lynch - v. good all game. dominated his opponent. Worked well with the other defenders

3. Glass - he's just getting better and better as the season goes on! Like lynchy, very good all game and dominated his opponent.

2. Judd - would have been higher if he had been able to kick those goals in the last quarter, but over all good game.

1. Chick - IMO won his battle with GA Jr. Good to see him playing well and not having to come of the ground half way throught the game having done his shoulder, leg etc.

Unlucky:
Kerr - tried his heart out. Tackling effort was great.
Cox - dominated the ruck,
Hunter - good game back. Should have been in the team earlier
Fletch - hasn't set the world on fire this year but played a good four quarter game.
Butler - 19 possessions. This kid's going to be good.
Banners - great to see him back out there.

5. Lynch - marshalled the backline excellently
4. Judd - excellent work in and around the packs, if only he'd kicked those goals!
3. Braun - tackled like a champion.
2. Fletcher - kicked a goal with his right foot. What more do I have to say?
1. Cox - dominated the ruck and took some strong marks.

Unlucky: Kerr, Nicoski, Banfield, Hunter and Butler.
