3. Foley - thought he was due for a rest this week but came back well. Still some run in his legs.
2. Martin - was in and out of the game but he makes his possessions count. Amazing player.
1. Miller - gave us a spark up forward.

Tossed up between Tuck and Miller for that last vote and 3 goals got Miller across the line. I thought Lids wasn't that great inthe first 3 quarters, but certainly had a match winning impact in the last quarter. I also found Grigg's game a little frustrating. Overall good, but at times he seems to play it safe and corals the ball. I'd prefer to see him just hit it hard.

3. Foley
2. Tuck
1. Martin.

Stiff: Miller, Edwards.

* On Grigg- He had a good game and he certainly finds the nut with ease but does anyone feel like killing him at certain stages of the game? At high pressure contests he appears to just labour and put in nothing more than a jog?

*Surely Tucky has to be here next year?

*Edwards' pressure has been brilliant last 2-3 weeks!

Yep every time the ball doesn't hit him lace out he seems to wander around it taking his time to pick it up. He can rack them up but i think he is soft and doesn't have the hurt factor of a Houli.

I am not the Graham critic that most on here are but to say he was our second best player today really surprises me.

Thought he was just shaded at the centre bounce today and the third man up ploy we have used the last two weeks nulified Jolly around the ground.

Nullified Jolly to the point where it didn't even seem like he was at the ground ... or part of the melbourne Football Club.

3-Tuck
2-Foley
1-Rance

Grigg sure knows how to find the footy and if he could aquire some hurt factor he'd be a real weapon

3. Foley
2. Tuck
1. Martin

Thought lids was good in the last, but was resposible for sylvia for most of the day who was prob Melbs best player, really hurt him the other way.

No he wasnt. He spent about 10 minutes on him in the first quarter. Matt dea was responsible for Sylvia for most the day.

We won the centre clearances (at least according to ABC radio) and Graham played a lone hand in the ruck so he must of been doing something right. Hardwick said no one was outstanding (apart from Foley) and I agree, there was not all that much in it. I chose Graham because of how badly we have done previously in the ruck and the importance of getting first use of the ball. He showed the difference a competitive ruckman makes to our team and he along with Foley where the only to play 4 quarters of footy - even if he was not exceptional for all those 4 quarters, he was relatively consistent.

With his work over the last two weeks, against a couple of high quality ruck divisions, Gus has been ok. I certainly think he should be kept around next year.

By all means shop around for an upgrade, but I think he'd be one of the better back up rucks going around, should we secure one.
