Lynch - absolute crap today. Had a Kasey Green of a day.

Waters - I've always like this guy and think he'll be a star in the Dean Solomon mode. He's made a few mistakes in the last few weeks, but doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. Hopefully he'll be a regular in 2005.

Votes for Port:

- Dirty, filthy orange maggot no.1
- Scumbag orange maggot no.2
- ******** of an orange maggot no.3
- Eagles goal kicking coach

Not that I’m bitter or anything.

5. Kerr
4. Fletcher
3. Waters
2. Matera
1. Butler

Obviously, goal kicking extremely disappointing, don't know whether to put it down to AAMI stadium, the interstate travel or lack of mcdougall and hansen - probably a combination.
We played - generally - pretty fairly; I'd put ****e umpiring and injuries down to a disappointing loss.

5. Waters - Looks all class.
4. Fletcher - Keeps on getting the ball
3. Butler - wonderful poise for such a young kid.
2. Matera - Our only dangerous forward today
1. Kerr - Lots of ball.... but for me one of our most frustrating players. There are still poo stains on the grass at CHF where he packed himself at a handball.... and he does way too many fancy kicks around corners and in the air for me.... also what is with the handballs over the head   Rarely work.

Suprised how many people are giving such high votes to Waters. I actually though his disposal and decision making was at times quite poor.

Anyway, my votes

5 - Kerr
4 - Fletcher
3 - Matera
2 - Morrison
1 - Braun

Good to see Fletcher, Braun and to a lesser extent Morrison finding consistent form this year

5. Waters. Impressive effort, a couple of wonky decisions perhaps. Looked exceptional around half back.
4. Fletcher. Ran hard all day, damaging in the center
3. Butler. Excellent running, provided options
2. Matera. Was know to spot the goalposts occasionally
1. Staker. Excellent work in defence.

obviously you're entitled to your opinion but no kerr? Most people have given him a 5. IMO I thought he played wonderfully but just wondering why you put staker over him?

5: Braun
4: Fletcher
3: Kerr
2: Waters
1: Butler

unlucky on Glass. When on Brogan, he did nothing. Moved to Tredrea who kicked 3 goals in just under three quarters but only two of those were from poor defending on Glass' part.

one time Pickett could've kicked the goal easily but Glass left Tredrea to try and force some form of spoil, but BP easily handpassed to a free Tredrea in the goal square.

The other Glass was attacking to try and make something but a poor kick allowed Dew to get the ball and get it forward to a free Tredrea.

Adkins, Banfield, Butler and Staker deserve a few votes also- i thought Chipper in particularly played one of his best games in a while.

Was just very impressed with Waters games- for most kids it would seem to be a dirty trick to play them on Byron Pickett, but Muddy is a genuinely tough customer.

Matera was interesting- he took some freakish marks and really got far more of it than we had any right to expect, but it just underlined how much we missed Doogs. When Matera is playing that well its a good bet that something is seriously out of whack with our forward line.
