5. jackson, is a hard nut, wins the ball and improving disposal, and i think was responsible for both harvey and firrito being sent off. which changed the momentum to us.
4. nahas, crumbed to the tall forwards all night. great tackler although needs to add some weight so can stick tackles to the bigger guys.
3. deledio, stood up when the game was in the balance and showed he can be the difference in a game. beutiful kick, can hit someone 50 meters away on the chest.
2. white, love the boy and how he runs. breaks packs and runs it 30+ meters forward.
1. bowden, does the things when needed to win the game, smartest player at our club. goes off his man to go infront of a contest to a fading kick. although he sometimes needs to move the ball on faster.

5.Jackson
4.Bowden
3.Delidio
2.White
1.Newman

Unlucky : Nahas, McGuane, Graham, Reiwoldt, Tuck

lol @ the people who dont have bowden in your votes, did you even watch the game?
to many people on here cant admit there wrong when they knock a player.

3- Jackson
2- Bowden
1- Gus

Mentions: Lids, Nahas

Yes Hackson had a rare good one...I'll wait until he starts stringing a few together bwefore I start spelling his surname with a J instead of an H..and against better opposition than the worst North performance in years...still find it amusing how all his fanboys and apologists are awarding him BOG or close to it though...seriously, get ya hands off it...:o

If he plays well then he deserves getting the BOG's or close to it. Jackson was clearly in our top 5 and probably top 3. Your personal vendetta against him shouldn't stop you from giving him votes that he deserves.

I said he a good game. Did some good things, worked hard, which- like fellow "honest toiler" King- he always does and wasn't as costly as usual, but as good as my top 3 ...and several others? No. I'd even put Bowden -another one of my "whipping boys" ahead of him. Same as McMahon, a good game , but hardly put under pressure by a pretty insipid North outfit. If you want to go down the point scoring path..then is my apparent "under valuing" of his game really that much different then yours of JON?
Both played good games by the standard they've shown so far, no more, no less, except your ginger mate's had a lot more opportunty at senior level.

No, Jackson was quite clearly one of our best. 33 possessions, 11 marks and he was the one giving constant drive out of the centre. Most of his kicks, were effective as well, had a few razor passes inside 50 to Riewoldt in particular.

JON on the other hand had 11 touches and whilst not being bad didn't really do that much up forward. There was a big difference to their respective games.

I am definitely no fan of Jackson but he was one of our best tonight by far.

It's not his fault that North didn't put him under any pressure.

And Deledio, Nahas, and Riewoldt, the three you gave votes to Mario, were up against the same 'insipid North Melbourne' that Jackson was, so you can hardly use that as an excuse for him not deserving votes.

After watching the replay today I realised how good guys like Bowden, Jacko and even Tambling were. Richie did everything tiger fans want from him, all he needs now is that consistancy he's lacked.
Votes:
5. Deledio- Broke the game open at crucial times. Set up multiple scoring opportunities with his pace and elite kicking.
4. Bowden- Had alot of the ball but was alot more damaging with his disposal. He also worked hard off the ball which is to often overlooked by tigers supporters.
3. Jackson- Obviously had alot of the ball but his kicking was suprisingly good. He did alot of good work under pressure also.
2. Nahas- Set the tone early. His foward pressure created alot of chances and he was dangerous all night.
1. Jack- One of his best games in tiger colours. Presented all night but was vital in the 2nd when we got a run on. Needs a bit more consistancy but great signs.
HM- Tambo, Jordy, Mcguane, Morton, Tucky.

Bingo ptf. They were solid and didn't **** up.(though the Gingernut still did a couple of times, but Norf didn't capitalise as most teams usually do.) Good games... for them...

Wow that's some good logic there to back up your alternative account..."because North were insipid, if Hackson doesn't deserve votes then either do those players"...." ..you'll get yourself a HUN column in no time with that in-depth analysis...

Tell me ...did they break the game open like my top 3? Apart from Jackson inadvertantly injuring Harvey in a tackle...hardly the result of any "plan"...what were they doing that was so awesome when it was 0-19 that bought us back into it ? Were they crucial when we needed to put them away?

My main point about Hackson and McTurnover is basically the same as it is about the entire team, including my vote winners...I just want to see them do it consistently and against better opposition.

Yeah, like that proves anything.

Maybe if you two stopped parroting each other in virtually every debate and usually within minutes of each others posts, didn't use the same lame "humour" all the time and display extremely similar writing styles, people wouldn't think it. :o

Maybe I need to be a bit more subtle in future.

I don't care that you didn't put Jackson in the votes - that wasn't what I was saying. Pick whoever you like. I just disagreed with your reasoning behind not putting him in. You can't use the fact that Jackson was up against a team playing poorly as the basis for not putting him in the votes, because all of our players were up against that same team.

Yup I agree with those votes. Deledio was all class and by far our best player. Jackson at least won the footy, and had a couple of nice worm burners. However he was still largely ineffective with his disposal, and certainly didn't break the lines like Deledio did.
