Rubbish. He is up there but everyone has a different view. To say people who don't gve him a out are clueless is just garbage. I left him out, but gave him an apology. I like to think I have a clue.

Agreed. I gave Pears 1 but could have easily have given it to Stanton, Welsh, Ryder or Watson.

Can't believe Ryder has a total of 3 votes.

Where's the love for Paddy?? 26 hit outs, 12 disposals, 7 clearences and 5 tackles. He clearly had the better of one of the best ruckman in the league (Jolley), in the ruck and around the ground.

Good point. To be honest I would've placed him around 5th-6th best for us before looking at the stats. Did superbly today, though.

Congratulations on the win yesterday. You had far too much pace and class for us and we never really looked in the contest. We're on the slide and entering a rebuilding phase, but at the SCG and with alot of hard bodied older players we're still a tough unit to crack - so a big win for your club and a reflection of the improvement you've made this year.

You've got a pretty bright future over the next 4-5 years on today's performance. Best of luck with the rest of the season, would love to see you squeeze into the eight and flog Carlton in an elimination final.

This is a good point. Providing we do make the eight there will be some tough finals matches for us. Carlton would be our preferred matchup, maybe Brisbane if we didn't get Carlton. Nevertheless just getting to the finals would be a great experience for our young, developing side.

3. Stanton - I dont understand how anyone else doesnt have him for bog. He was our best midfielder gathering the most ball and using it the best out of anyone.
2. Winda - Was fantastic used the ball well and kicked 3
3. Pears - He has improved a massive amount since last year. Had a great match getting alot of the ball and has to be most improved so far this year.

3. Winderlich (disposal and goals were great)
2. Welsh (head to head with Kirk, won, plenty of the ball, a goal and 12 tackles)
1. Pears (great all day in defence)

Could've given 1 to a number of others including Stanton, Lovett, Ryder and Lucas

3. Welsh
2. Watson
1. Winderlich

In a game where contested footy and clearances were essential to win the game both watson and welsh won us the game with their in-close work.

Welsh had 10 contested possessions, 7 clearances and 12 tackles. Super effort.

Watson had 12 contested possessions, 6 clearances, 3 assists.

Winderlich was obviously quite effective with 25 possessions (4 contested), 3 goals, 3 assists.

The next best for me was Paddy Ryder who's game was underestimated by many. He had 26 hitouts to Jolly's 19, 7 contested possessions, 7 clearances, 5 tackles. Another huge effort to Paddy who bounced back very well after being towelled up by fraser.

Stanton was not the best midfielder - out of 29 possessions only 2 were contested. His disposal efficiency was 72%, he only had 1 clearance, laid 4 tackles, kicked 1 goal and set up 2 (assists).

Welsh had 22 possessions with 10 of these being contested, disposal efficiency was 59%, 7 clearances, 12 tackles, 1 goal, 1 assist. His clearances/tackles more than compensated for his efficiency. I'd have Welsh ahead of Stanton.

Watson had 29 possessions with 12 contested, efficiency an amazing 79% (for a clearance player), 6 clearances, 3 tackles, 3 assists. Again better than stanton.

Winderlich had 25 possessions with 4 contested, efficiency of 72%, no clearances, 3 tackles, 3 goals, 3 assists. His 3 goals put him ahead of Stanton.

3. Winderlich - Kicked goals, set up goals, used the ball well.
2. Pears - Excellent composure and use of the ball from the backline.
1. Watson - Showed how we missed him last week.
