Footage from AFL Tonight, Tsatas tackled Shiel at training and Shiel took a while to get back up. Looked like arm but they said club gave ok and no issues. Good sly attempt by Elijah to keep his place ..I like it
They're saying on Blitz that Shiel has delayed concussion from that and that ADW might be named.

Menzie may come out, ideally he would be able to get some kms in the legs in the VFL but with no VFL they may elect to sub him again.

Unfortunately ADW is probably the player best suited to the vest from my point of view, as much as I want to see him in full flow
There's VFL this week. Next week there's a bye.

Aligns with what we did with SEH. Couple of weeks as the sub and then out to give him the opportunity for a full run and to get some touch.

Tsatas for Shiel the only real contentious change I think.

Scott replacing Ridley with a tall and Jones with a small is an eyebrow raiser, I would have thought conceptually it would be the other way around.

Assume either Reid or McKay will move into the lose intercept role and Hayes will play as a key.

I actually think they may free Hayes up, he’s looked quite comfortable in that role in the VFL and he’s comfortable with the ball.

Bit of versatility there. Would argue that you could bring Ridley back in at the expense of Prior and not be any less mobile either

We needed to replace 1 tall once 2MP got back in IMO.

Jones and Cox may struggle to find a spot now.

Tsatas is just unlucky that Shiel had been in cracking form. I know plenty disagree but the coach can not ignore a bloke who was in the best 6 or 7 players several weeks even if he is not the future 2 or 3 years down the track. Personally I think Tsatas can still develop at VFL level as he has not ticked off all the boxes at that level yet either but I know lots do not agree.

Good changes.
Be good to see the kids having a crack but it could get ugly.
Swans have a shitload out injured. Papley, Mills, Amartey, Cunningham, Gulden, McDonald, Melican. As good a chance as ever although yes Ridley and Drapes big outs for us

Depends which Sydney turn up. Decent Sydney will beat us but they have not been decent Sydney every week. In fact they have been average Sydney more often than not. We do play sides into form so that is a factor.

Well, Brad has maintained that he wants to bring in the kids when they are absolutely ready to actually HOLD their positions in the side.

Notwithstanding, some were forced, lets see how Ready they are!

This is a very Geelong approach. Their kids are always ready to impact straight away. Maybe Brad has taken some advice from his brother.

same goes for us.

If we get good Redman, McGrath, Martin that goes a long way to helping us win.

Them just going, we lose by 4+ goals, they play well, we're a very small chance

Sad indictment a first year (literal) rookie is ahead of Alwyn Jnr
