5 - Sampi
4 - Kerr
3 - McDougall - Battled hard, may not have won the Ruck but he isnt a ruckmen, got the ball, tried hard all day and gave a contest.
2 - Embley
1 - Judd, Wasnt awesome, but still did some good things for one vote.

My Review on Chipper
Adkins got plenty of the ball today and did some really good things with it, but at times just rushed/blazed away. Overall though it was good to see him getting the ball, needs to strengthen up a bit but i continue to believe he is a goer.

Edit - Added Embly to the votes, Haynes is the unlucky player to lose votes but i still liked his second half. Embers however was more 4qtrs than Haynes.

IMO, on what I've seen this year, Collingwood sharked us in that trade.

i'd give kerr 5, he was very good. sampi was good in parts and had he got more of it i woulda given him the 5 but the eagles couldn't get it to him enough..

we need a forward line. we need a backline. all we got is midfielders. and without gardiner...

mcdougall was good

Adkins was never going to do better than Williams this season, he was a long term project. I see him being like fletcher next year/year after, not the cousins judd kerr type but the consistent midfielder who goes about his job quietly but does it none the less with good impact.

Yes I agree with that. Williams started the year very strongly with the magpies but has had a couple of not so good games. Only time will tell.

The important thing however is that Adkins now plays in our colours and he has my full support and I expect good things to come from him in the future.

5. Sampi - Scarily good in places. Burst alight in the second half, and came very close to winning it for us. Should change his name to Mr Crunch Time.

4. Kerr - Fought hard all day. Does his best work when he's close to goals.

3. Glass - Unsung hero from today's game. Did a wonderful blanket job on Hall on a day when our defence was under fire from all quarters.

2. Judd - Didn't touch the ball too much, but only needed a few moment to make an impact.

1. McDougall - very promising signs. Battled hard in the ruck, marked well, and his ground level work continues to impress.

I'm only giving half the votes this round, because that's how much of the game we played (one half).

2.5 - Sampi
2 - Glass
1.5 - Kerr
1- Embley
0.5 - Braun

Votes - Sydney

5. Duncan Kerr

4. Sampi

3. GLASS - superb game on Hall

2. Juddy

1. Adkins

I thought the boys showed great heart to come back to be within 8 points because:
1. Played on that postage sized ground (give us standard sized grounds please)
2. Played in those atrocious conditions last weekend - note the Roos copped a flogging
3. Short week and having to travel
As Dennis commented during the game, this team under Woosha NEVER throws in the towel, they keep coming, another few minutes and we could well have stolen the game.
PS: Thankyou Geelong!!!

My votes from the game today.

The first half was ****house - we failed to man up and Sydney really could have blown us away given the amount of ball they had. Despite getting 39?pts down in the 3rd we fought back and THIS is what I like about my mighty Eagles :D Our first half was bad, but we got to within 8 pts through hard work and a great attitude. Despite the loss I was proud of the team for not giving up!

5 - Kerr - 4 goals and was by far our best mf
4 - Sampi - the kid is brilliant. Amazing skills and footy brains
3 - Glass - I agree with a coupla others, a great game from Glassy today. He took a few good marks and backed himself to run off Hall. Some excellent spoiling as well
2 - McDougall - showed a lot of promise!
1 - Judd - played a good game with flashes of brilliance

Unlucky - Embers, Haynes, Hunter, Brauny. Cox was better in the 2nd half. I think Willo was pretty avg today and we may not seem him again.

Overall good fightback and great 2nd half. We really need Fido, and Gardy back for the key games as well as maybe Collica as an option downback. I'd like to Hansen / Staker / Lynch given a go soon.

uhhh vicki, it was a short week by what, 3 hours? i know every little bit counts, but if almost every game at subi is gonna be the sunday afternoon one then every week after that is gonna be shorter, and invariably the week between the away match and home should be longer. i must admit there is an exception this week with the carlton match being on saturday

5. Glass - outstanding, best game so far, made Hall look stupid and used the ball well
4. Kerr - quiet first half, brilliant second, plus goals
3. Sampi - only forward to apply defensive pressure consistently, as evidenced by the tackle count
2. Judd - flashes of genius, tried hard all day
1. Braun - gave him the last vote on possessions, one ahead of Cousins

If Wirra had stayed at the back, he would probably have got a vote, as he was in my best 3 in the first quarter. There's got to be a reason for it, but I wish Woosha would stop moving him up the ground.
