Disappointing loss, we were never really in it until a great last 20 mins. The start cost us, giving away 3-4 meter meter penalties that led to goals cost us, not manning up REALLY cost us...
Still, good that we got close, but if we are going to start like that, we will lose most games. Onto the votes:

2. Neitz - He kicked straight today, and showed why he has been so dominant this year, got the ball about as much as in the Hawthorn games, but kicked truly (apart from a poster).
1. TJ - About time he was back to his best, after 2 quiet weeks he is back!
1. Chell - 27 possies, made some mistakes, but was good all day.
1. Vardy - Got us back into the game with 3(??) in the last.
1. Bruce - Great job, played in a few different possies, and kicked 4.

I am pretty bored now, so some good new and bad news:
Good
*Neitz is still firing
*Vardy, Bruce, TJ, Chell, all played excellent games.
*Wheatley played well, but where to play him is still the question.
*Biz tried hard all day.

Bad News
*Ellis being reported, we can't afford to lose him.
*Robbo is as inconsistant as ever.
*Armstrong was given little game time, but didn't use the time he got.
*White struggled at times in the ruck.
*Woey may be injured.
*Green failed to have an impact again, must be close to being dropped.
*Yze, nothing too serious, but he has definately dropped his impact lately. Going from 25-30 possies a game to 15-20.

Well I didn't get to see the last half of the game due to work, but suffice to say, I am really proud of the boys, especially the way in which we kept at it all day. The start killed us really. I was back to punching the floor again!

Anyway, on to votes from what I have heard (Thanx BT!)

3 - Neitz: Surely he must be close to being the dominant forward of the comp this year. Maybe an AA guernsey beckons?

2 - TJ: Nice to see him back in some form! Play like you know how mate!

1 - Bizzell: Liked his game, and no matter what anyone says, he has been a sensational player for us all year round.

Woey injured is no good, especially with Powell to miss one more. Ellis being reported is no good either, but does anyone know what for and when it happened?

Here is a big tip - But Mr. Bruce in the weight room over summer and play him at CHF. Okay, he may lack height, but jeez he is a class act!

Barnaby French was holding Ellis up after the mark, Ellis looked him in the face, and elbowed him in the face in the view of the umpire. He'll get games for it, you won't get more clear video evidence.

Who the heck is Wheatley? He played a great one.

Damn Ellis, he tends to do that a bit...

We got Wheatley back in 2000 in the same year as Green, Whelan and Bruce. Can play both ends and is a thumping kick. One to watch mate, as he took you guys by surprise!

I did not see the game as I was at a 21st and the only score update I was given was that we were 6 goals down. That was enough for the Melbourne suppoerters there to hit the drink. I was amazed when I found out a 4 o'clock in the morning (in not the greatest of states) that we got with in 4 points. However it should not get away from the fact that these slow starts are not acceptable.
