No apology to Wheatley. 30 odd touches count for nought when you butcher 28 of them.....

Surprised at the lack of love for Frawley, thought he was really solid today.

BTW The Dr, are you Juverule as well? Your votes are the same with exception of Sylvia for Buckley, and Whelan was given a vote twice in both posts.
Explanation please.

Didn't know 83% disposal efficiency was regarded as butchering the ball, Wheatley's disposal was very good on Saturday and in a game where the skills were very ordinary makes it even more impressive for him.
An economics lecturer of mine once said, "there's lies, there's damn lies, and then there's statistics!"
Given that a majority of Wheatley's kicks are long, we should look at these. Champion data's definition of an effective long kick is one that travels further than 40 metres to a 50/50 contest or better. Given as you say the skills in the game were ordinary, I expect more from Wheatley than kicking to a 50/50 contest. Statistics lie.
Also, cheap handballs that place a teammate under preassure (but still allow him the have an uncontested possession) are classified as efficient disposals by Champion Data. To me, selling your opponant into danger is not efficient.
But hey, opinions are like arseholes, we all have on and they all stink. I was there, and I saw what I saw.....
