Yes, I'm meeting TD at South Yarra Train station at 0930 on Saturday.

If anyone else in interested in making the trip down ( apparently it's 70 min drive, though never been to Geelong before) let us know.

Hopefully they'll play all the guys pushing for a senior spot, so looking forward to it.

I'll take the laptop for some special comments from the man himself for any who don't make the trip :)

i really feel for those who have never been to geelong for the footy - understandable considering current fixturing.

one of my fav memories is after round 22 1982 - we went to geelong with only 3 wins for the year, and remarkably beat them on their home soil.

the ride home on the red rattler from south geelong station that night was one very long loud party.

**note swooop - take plenty of salad rolls - dave might get hungry ;)

Didn't think he was having a go at mooney? It's just a fact he needs to be playing to learn. I'm excited by him and the quicker he gets games under his belt the better. I'll probably head down and cheer the kid on. If he kicks a goal ill start an Ole Ole Ole chant!

Trip's a breeze. Once you are on the Westgate, it'll only be 40min max. on a Saturday morning. At the Geelong end, don't follow the Princes Hwy into Geelong but use the bypass, getting off at the A10 to the city centre and Queenscliff or the next one (around Ceres I think).

No offence intended towards Mooney at all. I really hope the lad does well.

I simply meant exactly what I said - he needs all the game time he can get. And that's because, as you say, he's only been playing the game a few months. And that was clearly evident last Saturday night.

Where are you coming from? If you heading from the city i'd give yourself 90 minutes.

I did forget it was Saturday morning so the traffic should be a bit better. If you cant find a park outside the ground (you should be ok though for the VFL) try Carr Street outside south geelong train station. There are usually parks there and its a pretty easy hike over to Kardinia.

As you say, Sat am should be OK


Dave I'll be there 9.20 looking out for you.


Try and wear something distinctive so I can spot you in the crowd.
Perhaps a suit or something?
