ROUND 6
28th April 2.15pm Subiaco v Peel Thunder Medibank Stadium
28th April 2.15pm Swan Districts v East Fremantle Steel Blue Oval
28th April 2.15pm Perth v East Perth EFTel Oval
28th April 2.15pm Claremont v South Fremantle Claremont Oval
BYE West Perth
Subi V Peel will be closer than most people think IMO. Peel are a much better side than their win/loss record suggests. They've been more than competitive with Claremont and East Perth who are two strong sides. Subi's midfield will be a bit too strong but Peel's midfield of Haines, O'Brien and Ballantyne are constantly improving. Subi by 40 points.
Swan Districs V East Freo will be a tight one. Swans will be fired up with a new coach at the helm, while Easts will also be hungry to get back on the winners list after a dissapointing display last week. Ryely Dunn is out for the Sharks for around 6 weeks. On paper you would have to say East Fremantle will win.
Perth V East Perth will be another close contest. Perth actually out scored Subiaco in the second half last week which is a great effort. Kurt Hinkley and Josh Krueger are providing soid targets up forward for them while Chris Bossong is giving them great drive out of defence. East Perth were extremely dissapointing last week and will be out to make amends. East Perth will just be a bit too strong IMO.
Claremont V Souths is the match of the round. Both sides have recovered after poor starts but the winning progress of one will be stopped this week. The last time Souths played Claremont at Claremont Oval they got absolutely belted. But as usual Souths are getting carried by their AFL blokes in Duffield, Collard, Graham and Sampi. I think Souths will win by about 3 goals.
