Fairly strong team with a good mix of players. It would have been interesting to see this WAFL team take on the SANFL or VFL this year.

Can anyone tell me how the following players are going in the WAFL?
Ryan MacKenzie (East Perth)
Daniel Leslie (Perth)
Joel White (Peel)
And any other ex-Vic Country players presently going around in the WAFL.

Going really well after a slow start to the season trying to adjust to the game here. But has gone from strength to strength and is as tough as they come. Strong in and under although some times his kicking lets him down but a strong player for the club and a core player. By the cheers he gets when he gets taken off for a rest you can see the fans appreciate his application.

They'll get their chance at the SANFL next year... where the all time ledger will be even! :D

Last time we won by 111 points so this time i am predicting 20 goals plus considering the talent and the Subiaco members in this side. If they play like Subiaco do i wouldnt be surprised to see a 150 point victory! :D

Do they have the same rule they have down here in the VFL, that only AFL rookies and not listed AFL players are eligible ?
Doesn't apply to the squad members as it consists of ex-AFL players and simply WAFL players. There is nobody in the WA team that is currently affiliated with any AFL club.

And wellsy, look for South Fremantle to beat Subiaco in the WAFL grand final this season.

Clandy Rudeforth, Michael Warren the two AFL rookies who played for WA last year against the VFL.

For the VFL, there was
Shannon Byrnes (Geelong)
Andrew Lovett (Bendigo Bombers/Essendon)
Nick Stone (Scorpions/St Kilda)
Ben Schwarze (Port Melbourne)

All there have been subsequently drafted onto AFL lists via the rookie list system.

Correct, however this season there are no AFL affiliated players in the WA team, thus the remark.

Not sure how Hewitt makes a state side. Was shocking in SANFL for Norwood and regularly got dropped to the ressies. Maybe homesickness. Other than that pretty solid side there but I'd think the SANFL would beat it by 30 points or so.

Can someone tell me why ABC TV in Perth is not covering the state game this week? They put it on at a good time for WA viewers but it is not being shown. The game starts at 2pm WST (4pm in Brisbane).

Maybe it is too expensive to broadcast, due to the ABC's resources in QLD going towards covering the QLD Cup Rugby League. You'll probably be able to get the game on video, but that would be without commentary and using only 1 camera.

gee, glad to see adam lange in there...could have been in a sturt jumper this year mate ...oh well, maybe next year :D

QAFL - 11.5 71
WAFL - 18.21 129

WA win by 58 points and inaccurate kicking kept QLD in the game most of the time. Although we finally kicked away during the last quarter.
