Swannies what can you tell me about Levi Ridley for swans colts.
He's very athletic and skilled (reminds me a lot of his dad in that respect) and goes hard at the ball. Seems to be able to dominate at Colts but his league games (yes, I know he's only 17 people) haven't been as impressive.

At least I resisted the urge to tag you in...

Left the park with about an 8 minute drive home and Swans hit the front by 26 points.

My smug swans supporting wife was giving me lip... needless to say i spent a few minutes fist pumping in the garage when we got home.

Luckily my kids are all falcons supporters as well so they got stuck into mum
Ha Ha Ha, I didn't even realise we had hit the front in that last. I was moving wood at the in-laws. Only listened on the radio until half time and it sounded a very uninspiring game, so I expected to lose. At least I didn't go through the highs and lows by watching the game. :)

Game was over - then something happened an WP kicked 5.3 in about 8 minutes

Really crummy angles for the two marks from Barrass. Number 4 and 2.

Hmm, not sure if Saunders held that!

If so, mark of the year by a mile.

And not to be sexist, but I don't think women should commentate the footy.. well not when they're that drab, boring and devoid of any emotion anyway

Hutchings has 9 goals from 25 games in his career, if he's our goal sneak we are in big trouble.

His skills are not that great either, theres a reason he is a fringe player.
His skills are fine. He's had two injury interrupted pre seasons this year and last, and was thrown into a role he wasn't accustomed to for most of last year as our normal so called taggers weren't getting the job done. He got better as the year went on as he was gaining confidence which is normal. Id rather have him in the side to play Priddis role as he's faster and can rack up 30 possessions while laying a shit load of tackles when required (16 in the first Derby he played). He's also a lot faster than College and abetter kick. I'd like to see Colledge play a run of games to see what he's got, but I fear if he doesn't instantly dominate like Duggan he'll be the next whipping boy.

Didn't get very high though. Obrien isn't tall and he's cannoned into him and levered backwards. Saunders just about could have taken the ball with his feet on the ground.

Me thinks you overrate the Hutch a little too much. Fact is he's 24 next month and now at his second AFL club and has only played 25 games to date. If he had the skills, tackling ability and pace as you are making out then he wouldn't have slid to the Rookie Draft in 2009, and cut by St Kilda after one year on their list.

As for tackling when required? Priddis' career high in a match is 18 btw. Priddis isn't the most skilled player in the comp, but like it or not he's still currently the best of what we got until the likes of Waterman, Sheed and Duggan develop. I know a lot of people on here are desperate to replace him, but Hutchings is not the answer we seek and is more of the same.

I do agree College needs more game time to see what he can do, but it will be at the expense of Masten/Sheppard/Wellingham or another outside flanker as that's what his game it.

I don't overrate him at all, its just that everyone else on here underrates him. Ive seen him do all the things ive mentioned above, plus he's often the guy that pushes all the way into defence to receive the ball, then help bring it up the ground via a chain of possessions and then has run hard to be an option going into our forward line, but people just don't seem to notice. The tackles Priddis gets are stationary turtle tackles, where as Hutchings has shown he can run someone down at pace, which is a big difference.
There are plenty of stories of guys that didn't get games at one list to then do well at others, so just because he wasn't a constant player at St Kilda means nothing. I don't think hes the best player on our list, but I think hes a good player with decent skills and a fantastic workrate that could easily be part of our best side in the near future. I think he just needs some fitness and some confidence and you will see him get a lot better, as confidence and knowing you belong at any level of footy is a big thing. He's certainly a better option than Priddis while we bring on the kids imo.

Haha yeah I was thinking the same thing- I have no issues with women commentating but she sounds like a robot.

Are the WAFL sides announced online prior to the matches, or is it left up until gameday?
They are already up.

Main, Barrass, Lucas, Waterman, Brophy,& Lycett. College & Hutchings could still play if they are not needed on Saturday.

Powell is out i guess with an injury?

Adamson playing in the reserves.

Karps still not in.
