Nobble John Howard.

So no changes to gun control, and more mass shootings. More Paul Keating would have turned us into Zimbabwe. So maybe that is something you'd be okay with.

Buy Amazon shares. Microsoft shares. And wait for Bitcoin to come out and slowly and quietly buy up ever increasing amounts - and dont lose where it is stored !

Try to have fun. Maybe get in contact with my parents, but I can't give away that I am their kid from the future.

Which give credence to not forgetting the analog ways of things like navigation without a satnav.

So I was trawling the Internet and I found a post on FB and a Reddit thread detailing what would people do if they somehow woke up and it is 1995 suddenly.

Keep in mind
No Wi-Fi
Smartphones are uesless
Etc...

So what would you do if you woke up 3 decades ago/ in the past?

Video stores boy do I miss them just browsing looking for something obscure every week, hanging out at Time Zone and playing arcade games. Kick to kick on the streets with mates while listening to the footy on radio or cricket in the streets with mates while listening to the cricket on the radio (someone would always bring along a transistor radio). TV was actually good in 1995 some great shows you could watch it and not pay for anything either! Less news and no reality shows for the braindead. You could pop a game into your Super Nintendo or Mega Drive and the game will play straight away no bullshit updates and downloads to wait for before playing and no online crap just you and your mates in the some room having a great old time. Waiting all week to listen to 'Shadow Stevens' and the top 40 countdown every Sunday night on FoxFM to record your favorite songs to make a mixed tape. Yeah it was simple but it was fun take me back...

Was it still Shadow? I thought that Rick Dees had taken over by then.

Its actually Shadoe not Shadow looking him up. Maybe he was replaced by 1995.. But I sure remember 'Shadoe' and that great American voice.

EDIT: his wiki says he hosted from 1988 to 1995

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadoe_Stevens
Found some more info. The show that Shadoe hosted was dropped from syndication (and replaced by Rick Dees' show) in the US in July 1994, and ended in January 1995. I remember Shadoe hosting an episode of Take 40 Australia as a guest around 1995 or 1996.

1995 was one of the best years of my life, alcohol was cheap, dance music was at its peak, I had a full time job and no responsibilities, life was soo good, take me back asap

Relish being back in the best era of music evet. Britpop.
Every genre was awesome when you think about it, you don’t often here people saying 90’d music was shit

Sturt are having an inverse 1995 thirty years later. In 95 we went 0-22 so far this year we're 13-0.
Daughters bf plays for Sturt 18’s , he had his best game for them yesterday, the team is looking very strong across the board but their best player may have done an mcl yesterday.

Unley Oval looks great these days too. I'll forever remember watching Phil Carman in 95 losing his shit over and over as we turned small leads into hundred point loses. I was at the Westies game the next year when we won for the first time in over in year and carried on like we won the flag.

We were at prospect oval yesterday and its condition imo was a disgrace. Centre square was mud and the oval was extremely patchy. Might have to increase council rates out that way and pay the greens keeper a bit more.
