Walker: not far away

So, he's gone from an indefinate injury to potentially being up in Round 14? Jeez, at the rate that he's healing, we could have him in for this weekends game against Brisbane!:p

Wishful thinking? You bet:D.

Ratts is aware at the risk of bringing Tex back before he is ready. You can be assured that Tex won't play until he is 100%.

i don't think he will play again this year.

whats the point in rushing him back into a side that won't play finals?

would love to say we will play finals but realistically we won't this year..

as ratten and co have pointed out its all about the long term, 2009 2010 and 11 they are our years.

get a fulll pre season into him, and have him fully rearing to go for next year. ---- give him 12 weeks of just skills, he needs it

According to Rod Ashman he is 2 weeks away from resuming full training.
He is coming along very well apparently.

The point would be to give him match practice in AFL games and to get him used to the game plan with the rest of our team so that next year he isn't struggling to run to the right spots.:thumbsu:

Err, to get some games in to him? I doubt they'll rush him back in if finals are looking unlikely anyway.

He might be ready to come back by early July but no way will he have any match fitness for the rest of the year. He will need to go through a full pre season training again before he is at his peak.

Probably sounds pretty harsh but here goes. Play him for the last 6 or so games to increase his trade value then trade him for a low draft pick during the next trade week, we've got quite a few like him on our list now and he seems to be injury prone and we should be looking for a KPP.

Yeah you are right, very harsh:mad:
Name the other so called players like him on our list that can rebound it out of defence like he can?
Russell - yeah right
Benjamin - has proved jack sh#t
Houlihan - great skills but not a defensive bone in his body
Bannister - good solid player but not in Walker's league
Pfeiffer - good hard nut but does not have the explosive speed of Walker
Should I go on??
