I think this has been discussed before on this board, but I think the idea has real merit. Let's face it, his field kicking is far better than his goal kicking. He generally pushes up high anyway.
I thinking the biggest benefit though, would be that it would get him more involved in the play. Having your captain around the ball more has to be a positive. Imagine the forward delivery with Atkins on one wing and Tex on the other. He has the tank for it and would create a match up nightmare for the opposition. Richo nearly won a Brownlow when he moved to the wing.
It would also allow us to move Mackay on and create a space in the forward line for Menzel next year.
