Is there any doubt that he is the worst kick in the AFL

Saw a tiny bit of promise in him but he is a **** kick and should be traded as he would fit in well down at the dogs and that way we can win games and still get two high 1st rd picks

Any other player would have kicked 6.0 from the shots he had

But he moves down the delistings list dropping below hoepless Cole

Kinnear
Williams
Cole
Walker

You think the Dogs would trade a first rounder for him?

Keep your hand off it...

Nope, Walker is only 19. Last night he presented very well, took some good grabs including one ripper and he has the thing you cant teach players, a footy brain. We'll teach him to kick, 2.4 isnt a good enough return but he has the makings of a good backman, our forward stocks are pretty good.

Please dont put him on the same line as Williams, Kinnear,Lokan, McKee, O'Bree and co

WWWWAAAALLLLKKKKEEEERRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2.4, pretty bad strike rate, but he did present last night, as a forward though. For the rest of 2004, I say keep him up there to fill in Rocca.

We did see Jason Cloke and Tristan Walker swap positions frequently last night, well...I did.

I thought that Walker played a average game, but 2.4 from set shots is what Collingwood don't need. He was a back/ruck player so he has no capabilty to be a foward, I think if MM Puts him out there, he might join the ranks of Rocca,Tarrent,Didak,Davis and the Occaninal Fraser.

Of the 4 points one was a snap from a boundary throw in that dribbled through the points after it was let go by Dogs defenders. Another one was also outside 50. He missed two he should have kicked.

His marking was fantastic last night and if up forward against Richmond should get 4 or 5 I would hope given their lack of tall defenders.

And WHAT THE **** do you have against Cole. He is clearly a star.

I think you've got to remember that;

a) Tex has only played 15 odd games, only a couple this year

b) He started playing the game at (around) 14 yrs

c) He's played his entire career, apart from about 7 mins V's Sydney last year, in defence.

He gave a good contest, took a lovely contested grab and knocked up 6 scoring shots on goal...

I say great game Tex - his best yet.

Did you get that off FAVE Players? People have thier opinoins you know, I could say Nathan Buckley can play 500 games before he retires

What's wrong with Coley?

I consider myself VERY unbiased in the way that I view Collingwood, and I can see a lot to be happy with with Richie...

He backs himself at every opportunity, he has a good solid body and he doesn't take any sh*t.

His kicking and decision making (both will get better with time, remember) aren't great, but he'll only get better.

As for labelling players 200, 250 game players, well I never do that - see Tom Davidson for the reason.

Put it this way - Cole will still be on the list in 5 years, and he will have added an award or two to his CV by then.

Richard COLE

I rate him as a 200 gamer, all his time spent at Collingwood, most of his career spent in defence.

OK, Everybody knows that Richard Cole can be awkward running or strolling out of defence, his decision making is the worst in the team, he is quick, he is aboriginal, and most of all he has got TALENT

Every team has that small opportunist forward that will kick the goals that are needed, we have Leon Davis, and Didak at times. Richard Cole is that player that goes very well in that position. He has been developed to play that role, and should stay in that role, because we know that he is only going to get better. His tackling is great, his run out of the defence is quick, but as I have mentioned awkward.

I have to admit, I sometimes don't want Richie to get the looseball get in the defence, as we all probably do!

leonmagic has mentioned every other outline, he is a player that will be on the list in 5 years time.

Awkward running - who cares, as long as left goes after right it's ok, he has good pace.

Decision making - backs himself and goes hard, therefore good decision maker.

Aboriginal - Correct. What's the point of noting that?

Talent - Agree. You build a team around youngsters like him.

Walker is a typical Malthouse tall, he's a big, fit, strong kid who works his guts out. He may not have a great footy brain (he does look a bit lost sometimes) but he is definitely learning the ropes and has visibly improved. He will take a couple of years to be in our best 18 but I think he will ply 100+ games for us (in Malthouse style he will be played up and down the spine and in the ruck).

Cole showed that he is basically a quality player vs the Dogs, the way he strolled through packs and set up goals was very impressibve. I feel he needs to develop a bit more focus, as is sometimes horrible with his kicking and occasionally walks into trouble. He is definitely working on it and is improving all the time.

He has a strange weakness with overhead marking for such a gutsy players with such good hands. He is very brave and cheerfully takes on the pack or cuts in front of Lynch/Hall/<insert thug here> but when he needs to mark overhead he seems to let them slip, even unopposed.

Maybe its a matter of technique, but he's already a class prospect, any improvement will make him an outstanding player.

First of all... Decision Making - does it always come off the way you want it to? no, not all the time!

Aboriginal - I stated it because - "Everybody knows that Richard Cole"

!!!

Luke Darcy kicked 1.4 and is considered one of the elite players in the league.

If bad kicking was a reason for trading away promising young players the trade period at the end of each season would have to be extended by 6 weeks.

Really? I have seen Lloyd, Gehrig, Fevola etc all miss easy shots. Maybe they should be traded as well?

I guess this shows just what a judge of player you are. Like Walker Cole is a young guy still learning the ropes. Similar to Walker he is improving all the time. Any club who chooses to trade young guys simply because they aren't superstars within two seasons deserves to be on the bottom of the ladder and stay there. MM isn't as stupid as this and will continue to bring along the young talent that is available and hopefully supplementing them with new talent, both young guys and established players looking for a new club.

Funny that - how many clangers does Buckley have compared to Cole in a possession to clanger ratio?

i thought walker, for a young bloke without much experience as the key forward for a side, did a great job
strong lead, strong grab, as everyone said his kicking is a little askew
really showed some promise

as for luke darcy, if he had kicked those goals he missed pies would have lost, i have no doubt, he towelled cloke and it was only lucky he couldnt kick on the night

as for richie cole, i think he will be a great player for collingwood, remember he is only in his second full season of playing seniors, still working on his game, but he is very tough, always backs himself, and just needs to work on a few things and he will be a great player for many more years for the black and white

He cant kick, cant play forward

Cant man up, cant play back

Crap ruckman

Please tell me where he would fit into the side???

I fear this week he will get Richo therefore meaning Collingwood are 10-12 goals down already as thats how many Richo will kick on him

If he kicks 2.4 in the Dome imagine him on a windy day at the G, we are screwed

What is everybody's love for richard cole? He cant kick, run, no confidence and is a **** defender

People bag the crap out of Clokey yet defend no talent bums like COle and Walker

No i dont put them in the same class as O'Bree, Mckee as they have done some good things and are still worth something to the team

Darcy didnt towel clokey, Walker was on him for most of the time that he was damaging and when Jason went down back we got a bit more clearance out of defence

I dont see a position on the field for Walker and that is why he should be delisted as we probably wont get a trade for him

Why would you worry about Walker's kicking for goal if you think he'll play on Richo?
And what does it matter if Richo does kick a bag?
It's not going to cost us much.
Walker showed athleticism and lead strong to the ball on Saturday night , he's still raw , he's definitely worth persevering with and will not be considered to be de-listed come years end.
As for you questioning Cole's ability and his spot on the list , well that's just utterly moronic and not worth properly discussing .

If all these players are so crud, and should and will according to some be delisted then why are they still getting senior games. No need to put them in to see what they can do, we already know who can do what and who can't do anything.

So according to my theory

BK- Gone
Williams-Gone

Then I think

Mckee-gone
O'bree- gone
Davis- gone oh wait a minute he is MM pet and must be giving out to still be getting games so he is safe.

Did fairly well up forward didn't he? And I've seen worse kicks (J.Manson)

Cant man up, cant play back

Rubbish. When has he ever had a bag kicked on him. Fevola got 4 on him last year, that's about it.

Crap ruckman

Absolute bullcrap.

Please tell me where he would fit into the side???

For the rest of this year down forward would suit me, in future down back.

He is as big and as strong and as fast as him.

All subjective, the wind might blow it in for a goal.

What is everybody's love for richard cole? He cant kick, run, no confidence and is a **** defender

Because he is good? Get a clue.

Not really.

ok

Darcy didnt towel clokey, Walker was on him for most of the time that he was damaging and when Jason went down back we got a bit more clearance out of defence

So Walker was on him all of those times that Darcy got every centre hit out bar one in the ruck when he was in there?

I dont see a position on the field for Walker and that is why he should be delisted as we probably wont get a trade for him

FB
CHB
CHF
FF
RUCK

Walker was on him whilst he was threatening to blow the game out of the water but kicked like Walker

He is the luckiest player in the AFL as he hasnt had bags kicked on him because they kick just like him for some reason

Richo had 6-7 shots against him last year and kicked 1-2 goals, lucky for Walker

Did you see the game against ST Kilda? Everyone sitting near me was calling for his axeing as he was nowhere near Riewoldt all night, how many possies, goals did Riewoldt get that night?

Mckee, Obree and Davis have better futures than Walker

Walker is not as strong or as fast as Richo and that will be shown if he plays on Richo saturday

I brought up his kicking to prove that if he doesnt get Richo he will be a liability to the team as we may not be able to afford to miss many shots as if Richo gets firing it will become a shootout as COllingwood lack the forward options to do enough damage to annul richo like other teams have lately
