With another 100+ points defeat on the horizon, questions have to be asked, in your view which is shaping up as the WORST era?

And before you get all postal about my bagging the man with the golden halo over his head - Hardwick has had more 10 goal+ defeats so far in his career than Wallace had in double the time.

Hardwick has another year but it's looking igly

Precisely, it is not about how we are going now, but how we are shaping up for a premiership in 4-5 years, what the supporters can look forward to and our debt situation going forward!!

Past is the past, no one can change it, one can either wallow in history or look forward to the future!!:)

Do some reasearch and provide us with some comparisons, not just your thoughts..

To be fair Wallace did it with a very mature side and recruiting mature players. Hardwick had the nuts to go for kids....completely different scenarios imo.

^ This!! I agree with a comment from ABC radio that overall the RFC has improved on last year. People are certainly entitled to their views, but some views just tell me that some have very little idea of what it might take to develop a group of elite players. I just hope that when the time comes that some will be glad to eat their words. Go Tiges!!:thumbsu:

Who really supports a team by statistics.

Hardwicks time has been as interesting as Wallaces'.

My desire to go to games is where it is when Wallace was in charge.

The defeats look and feel the same.

If it walks like duck and talks like a duck .....

I prefer Burt Reynolds in Boogie nights.

If it looks like shit and it smells like shit then it must be shit.

But yeah, dont know why we need to bury our heads into statistics to enjoy watching our team play.

70-10 at half time. Nice paint job over rust in the end.

Wallace inherited a side which finished last in 2004 and played arguably the worst football in the history of the club. The mature players which were traded for in his time were overwhelmingly dirt cheap place fillers, with McMahon thrown in as a desperate last ditch attempt to find a competent half-back flanker for March's 'finals or else' campaign, after we'd failed to pick one up after a dozen attempts in the draft. Every side Wallace played throughout his tenure was either chock-full of kids or the best available fringe players who he had no choice but to try and wring something passable out of - and often managed to do so somehow.

It's hard to genuinely make a claim to 'fairness' when you're glossing over or distorting these kind of facts amcre. ;)

At the end of the day Wallace has a better win/loss ratio compared to Hardwick. However, a lot of those wins were ones where we barely scraped over the line.

Think of the keepings off at Telstra Dome vs Adelaide.

Think of Joel Bowdens match saving mark against Port Adelaide.

Basically we got a few wins on the board because our senior group of players (Brown, Johnson, Richo, Bowden) got us over the line.

We are on the right path, creating a new team from the ground up where victories are on the back of a wider range of players.

The only thing I have disagreed with in Hardwick is not playing Tuck. As Melbourne have found out sometimes you need your older blokes out there guiding the youngsters. It's no coincidence Cotchin had a great game with Tuck out there with him. Looking forward to Conca, Martin getting a bit more bulk all under the protection of players like Grigg and Tuck
