CARLTON development coach and Northern Bullants coach David Teague has suggested ruckman Robbie Warnock could play a part in the Blues finals campaign despite being yet to play a senior game for the club.
The former Docker, who was traded for picks 24 and 56 last season, played his second game for the Bullants on Sunday in the VFL, impressing with 18 hit outs, three clearances and seven disposals.
“By that stage (finals) it will be six home-and-away games,” Teague said.
“If they are planning on him playing 50 per cent and swapping on the bench then his fitness should be no problem at all.”
“He obviously took a good step forward this week.”
Warnock has been beset by injury after having pre-season shoulder and ankle surgery, he had also been placed on the long-term injury list.
Teague said he was content with Warnock’s output.
“He (Warnock) got in amongst it; he got his hands on the ball in the ruck contest. It’s going to take him a few weeks to get back into the hustle and bustle but we increased his game time.”
Warnock’s presence in the finals would allow Matthew Kreuzer to play more time forward.

I think he'd win more centre bounces and boundary throw-ins for us. As a nominated rookie we can play him any time.
