Would we entertain this idea? Would come cheap. People quickly forget his ability as a player and just remember him for his silly ways on tv. The guy seems to know his stuff when talking seriously. Thoughts?

Does he and his wife still do those nude centre fold pages?

taking your question seriously (momentarily), Capper was a one trick footballer ie he was a good mark. He didn't demonstrate much tactical nous and in all seriousness, doesn't articulate his thoughts very well.

Plus he has been out of the AFL system for too long and wouldn't have knowledge of the tactical aspects of today's game (beyond what he sees on TV).

next...

So we are trying to build a strong culture and you want to bring in a guy who did a line of speed before he went out to play a final. But why not, lets get Ben Cousins on board as well. He could mentor the young blokes show them how hard they need to work to play AFL

He will be ok coaching the boys on how to make a porno :-)

evidently, a key attraction of Capper is his inability to be understood when he speaks. When he originally came on the scene, it was hard to know if he was speaking english. His diction improved over the years, but he retains a rapid-fire delivery and a unique use of grammar. Apparently, his speech has been tested on the players and they love it. It seems that they have no idea what he is talking about, which means there is continuity with Lappin's methodologies. The key difference is that the players dont feel under pressure for not understanding Capper. Everyone realises that no one knows what he's talking about....

I just want to make sure, it's this Warwick Capper you're talking about, right?

Heck, we're trying to get drama out of the club!!

And it peeves off 76woodenspooners when people talk about themselves in the 3rd person.

He was in the social club bar earlier in the year. Genuinely funny bloke. Woudn't mind him hosting the odd function but he can stay away from the football department.

I feel significantly dumber for reading this post.
I have not heard one word come out of his mouth that makes me this he is anything other than an egotistical, self promoting fool. WTF could be possibly offer?????

Onfield ability does not outweigh offield stupidity. His strategy would revolve around taking hangers and that wouldn't work with the high number of short people on our list.
