Yeah i agree. There are major flaws with this proposed system, and Gaff is a prime example of why. If he leaves the Eagles at the end of this season, he would (potentially under this idea) serve 3 weeks suspension as an Eagle, play in a finals series and premiership with them, and then serve ten weeks suspension for his new club next year.
Or, what if a 33 year old gets suspended, elects to roll the suspension to next season and then retires after the Grand Final?
Or, a player breaks an opponents jaw in a Qualifying Final and rolls his subsequent suspension to next year. In the Grand Final, the same two teams could meet (as did happen with WCE v Sydney in both 2005 and 2006), with the victim sitting in the stands watching the perpetrator running around in the GF.
If you are waiting for me to argue - you wouldnt want to hold your breath.
Just take one persons word over another’s without knowing anything and repeat it as fact.Omg. I just watched this again. What a sanctamonias prick. How can you make out ross to be the bad guy. Extremely accurate?
The guys didnt play golf. They have never met.
Not a bad suggestionIf suspension is ongoing when he quits, drag it out of his final salary.
The way to fix it is to outlaw it from the game. You don't have to throw punches to be a hard footballer. The game doesn't need it... get rid of it.
We had a very aging crowd at subi. To a lesser extent we still do at optus.
Just guessing, but probably a comment about WC fan behaviour. If you are waiting for me to argue - you wouldnt want to hold your breath.
I think the booing was shit.
Made it very clear at the time - make it very clear now.
My point is all clubs fans booed.
you guys are trying to tie these two incidents together - id like to know what you are trying to acheive with that?
Many of your fans posting in these forums have continued their poor behaviour. Not all, and not the majority thank goodness. But a significant element. Are the purple skirt fans in here really trying to tie the booing of Adam Goodes (which all clubs did) to the Eagles fans cheering Gaff (where no replays were shown of the hit off the ball)?
Fair dinkum.
Yes. Because you guys are like soccer fans. The most unsporting code of supporter in the world. Nothing to be proud of.People so upset over booing.
Imagine going to a soccer match and hearing some of the chants.
Their heads would explode.
Cheat and cheats some more...The Carlton wayDeny and deflect its the wce way.
Trevor might not be the biggest loser. But he sure is a loser.
Lol. That was a glancing blow and Cripps played the next week. Completely incomparable to what Andy Brayshaw is going through.
Just the booing in general i would have thought. Your crowd have not an ounce of fair play in there heart. Are the purple skirt fans in here really trying to tie the booing of Adam Goodes (which all clubs did) to the Eagles fans cheering Gaff (where no replays were shown of the hit off the ball)?
Fair dinkum.
Has anyone confirmed yet if they play Golf together? Could be the difference between 5 weeks and 12 weeks!
