Had my heart in my mouth when he went up and it almost stop palpatating when he came down and almost landed on his head. He needs to do some gymnastic exercises or something as part of his training, because even when he runs it doesn't look as though he has got great balance or co-ordination.

I can remember against the Bulldogs, late in the game(He was probably tried) but he led a long way and took a chest mark and looked as though his body was about to give away on him.

OTHERS THOUGHTS???

He was given precious little time by Craig. He seems to have less faith in him than Ayres.

He looks like one of those puppies at times, who has not got the co-ordination quite right.

He does some things like that leap however, that does excite.

I fear given his small amount of game time that he is due back at the SANFL this week.

If that is the figure, I would suggest that for 46 minutes the ball was not in the forward 50m anywhere near where Fergus was played.

When the ball was there in the last 10 minutes of the game, Fergus looked as likely as any to take a pack mark.

Jericho and Watts arent ready for the AFL. Both are great young prospects but shouldve been kept in the SANFL for the whole season. Jericho needs a huge off-season in the weight room, I think Watts just needs gametime and some confidence, hes gotten neither the past few weeks..its a pity Carey had to go because he wouldve been useful for these final weeks.

And thats the reason neither of the 2 are getting a lot of ground time. The last thing we want to do is burn these youngsters out. Bring them along slowly. Next year is the year you would want then to spend a bit more time on the ground.

Agree, the experience of being part of an AFL squad, even with limited gametime is IMO more beneficial than playing SANFL.

Hentschel made a similar debut on the SCG as a forward, so not to concerned.

That mark SHOULD have been paid! It was a mark! As was Biglands' down the other end! We could've had two contenders for mark of the year there! Stupid umpires- bloody Vics!

By the way who thought that mark should have been paid? I remember Ablett one year getting Mark of the Year for something very simialr if anything Watts had more control of the ball than Ablett did that time.....
I was crying out for a highlight like that to be awarded in what was such an ugly, scrappy game.

The Swans supporters around me didn't seem to agree.

That was no where near a mark. He didn't hold onto it long enough.
