Nice article Schwassy , looked a reasonable and well thought out opinion until i got to the line where he put Cartledge in the same boat as Henno and Bolton. Talk about a bloke having no idea and just having a guess , should have done some research and asked someone who has seen some VFL ;)

Must do the same reserch as Gerard Healy. Did an article about our middle teir players and in a list of our 3rd-4th year players yet to come on had: Ted Richards, Aaron Henneman, Sam Hunt and RICKY DYSON. Ricky on that list confused me somewhat.

Maybe schwatta realisticlaly thinks he can get the pies job next season?

Both from foxtel, cant get gigs anywhere else.
Anybody who leaves one of the greatest teams of the 90's (north melbourne) must be a bit slow, and that article certainly showed a lack of knowledge.

On 3AW today Walls and Sheahan still maintained that Collingwood has the better group of young players and look better for the future.

Interesting, especially seeing we were missing 3 of our better young players in McPhee, Welsh and Laycock last night.

Walls would. Though he probably will change his tune again, he's done it before. From what I've seen from the scum, only the younger cloke looks ok. Egan looks like another robbie ahmet. There is some other kid who did ok against the cats, but can't remember his name.

i'd back essendons young midfielders we have recruited in the last couple of drafts over theirs, we will have a decent midfield in a few years time with abit of pace and class.

walls is anti essendon somethng chronic. he tries to hide it but i hate journalists who think they're hiding it but are really just making asses of themselves.

Schwass and Healy are great at pointing out obvious then flip flopping week in week out. none use any real insight at all.

Sheahans knee's would hurt cos that's where he spends most of his time.

please give us some real journo's

Sheahan has been very critical of Essendon this season and not very critical of the Pies. Even over the last few weeks, has has seemed to show enthusiasm for Collingwood's cause but only pessimism for Essendon's. I'm not sure why Collingwood's "bright future" has sparked Mike's interest so much, but it's been pretty annoying.

In fact, Essendon has had very negative, pessimistic views written about us for the last 3 years. Most unfairly too.

We know Walls hates Essendon, and we know he changes his opinion as often as his underwear, depending on a teams form, but to be fair I don't think he has been particualrly harsh on Essendon this year. It's more Sheahan that has been guilty of that.
